someone has asked how much baking powder should be used? you only need baking powder if you're not using self rising flour. if you are using plain flour or cake flour use a little less than a 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking powder. and I would put a cookie sheet under your glass baking dish just so it doesn't bake over and make a mess in your oven. someone else asked for oven temp. I use 350 for 30 to 45 minutes. I hope this helps

My grandmother used to make this all the time. I never tried because I assumed it would be more than I can handle in the kitchen (I'm getting better, though!). Made it your way and it tastes just like Nanny made. Thank you so, so much!

I made this recipe and used all purpose flour. The flavor is delicious but my cobbler looks like crap. It did not rise. I should of payed more attention to the instructions. But the flavor is good. I will be making this again with the other kind of flour. Thanks a lot!

selena vera Absolutely but cinnamon and nutmeg are a bit bitter so I would also add a little bit more sugar. I would add a half a cup more sugar.

@whatsfordinnertonite9 жыл бұрын
Creek Bush coleslaw, as far as a cabbage soup you can add chicken stock and sausage or ham. I plan to show it at some point but maybe when the weather cools off a bit. Thanks for watching!

While you were draining the rice the lid was popping up overboling, omg lol. Tell me about draing and rinsing the rice, i thought you did that before cooking. Ive never seen that. Everything looked so good.
@whatsfordinnertonite9 жыл бұрын
Kim Davis You can actually do it either way you can soak the rice and rise it before you cook it, or you can cook it and then drain it and rise it. I cook it and then rise it. I find it gets a lot more of the starch out this way. Yeah Things can get a bit messy sometimes but that's what makes it fun! LOL It's a great recipe if you just want something different!
@kimdavis84279 жыл бұрын
Ok I didnt know that (about support button) thank you. I really love watching all your recipes and to be honest, this is the first time I found someone who shows step by step how to do it so we can hear it without some awful music in the background, or them trying to be an actor just acting crazy or drinking. You definitely know how to feed your family and I love your laid back personality. Easy does it. Thank you very much. Kim

Why do we not see you in any videos? Just curious. I was watching your spegetti & mearballs video, and after you put them in the oven, it just ended? Also, why are you asking for contributions to your channel? I have never seen that done.
@whatsfordinnertonite9 жыл бұрын
Kim Davis Hi glad you like the video's and the recipes. And now to answer your questions, I just find the best way to teach is to show what I am doing, and what the dish should look like. This way people don't feel distracted or miss any steps. The support button is a new thing that You Tube has offered to help Channels cover some of their costs for production of the video's. I hope this was helpful -Thank you for watching!
