This is a tradition that has been going on for centuries, if not millenia. There are tribes that are known to insult fish and throw profanities towards them before they bite as a measure of good luck and way of supposedly attracting them. I shit you not it works, I've turned slow days into good days by just cussing out the fish.

What silicone do you suggest

I used some that i had that was starbrite "marine silicone" i think its just marketing. The best would be 3m 5200, or 4200, very good stuff but make sure to wear gloves. I would start with the silicone and see if thats it. I just checked mine and i still have some getting in but slowed it down alot, so ill be adding more tomorrow lol or look for another spot.
