A bear’s hug might be the strongest, but its heart is even bigger.

As a now 85-year-old, lifelong wildlife lover, observer and enthusiast, I think I have the experience to say that these tear-jerking, saccharine stories of wildlife searching out humans for help are scams, well written, well narrated scams, but nonetheless S C A M S ! ! ! I have now found three versions of this frozen Bear Story, two with Suzanne as main protagonist, one allegedly located in Montana, the other in Alaska, and now one with a male protagonist that I did not look further into. Allegedly, Suzane in the Montana related story founded a ”Mountain Wildlife Protection Initiative”. There is no trace on any such endeavor on the Internet. While the fundamental intention to move people from a predatory relation with wildlife to a more accommodating, compassionate relation is probably commendable, these stories are also potentially dangerous, because they might entice uninformed folks encountering wildlife to endanger themselves. So, I’m sorry, I will unsubscribe from this stuff!

Wow, this story really touched my heart. Jake's act of saving Little Bear from the river was just the beginning of a beautiful and unexpected bond. The mother's trust, despite Jake being a human, was so powerful-it was a reminder that even the wild has its own way of showing appreciation. The journey of Jake and Little Bear, from survival to the painful but necessary goodbye, was so raw and emotional. And then to see Little Bear return, a full circle moment-truly heartwarming. This was an emotional rollercoaster! From the bear’s desperate plea for help to the stunning rescue, and finally the shocking discovery of the mutant predator-this story had everything!

Wild animals are not cuddly toys they are more likely to tear you apart and to leave your dismembered remains making a lovely scarlet pattern in the snow than "thank" you in this anthropomorphic miasma of crap. .
