Nothing better than new years fishing, iv done it last 4 years, its the only time the mrs will come. Managed to catch my first uk 30+ this year had a great session, i love the quiet banks through the winter.

Been watching the les quis vids in prep for later this year (September). Watercraft draw aside what lakes your favourite mate?

@@ryc9744 tough question answer, not been in a long time now. But when I was going I loved all the lakes. Had a 50 from all of em. I kept my rigs simple and worked the swim. Check catch reports n weather before you go. The amount of bait I used each time was various depending if the carp was feeding. Gravel spots produced the most runs for me. September in the past has been a good month for me, I hope it is for you to. Tight lines 🎣👍

When I catch a big carp in the winter months I like to gut by the bank and then cook it with a little bit of parsley and lemon it tasted perfect and keeps you warm overnight

@@JohnBrown-lv7vb this time of year most the carp r showing after 11pm. So stay up later. I was only using maggots no bolliies. As for pegs most the pegs on trent view have carp in front of them, the margins are deep and not to be neglected. I’m there Friday til Sunday, maybe see ya on the bank. 👍

Well done with your new PB. The IQ D-Rig is my rig of choice for most of my sessions. I use mine with a kicker unless using an out turned eye hook. I look forward to future videos. 😃
