I had long since given up ever finding Te Waka Huia's performance here. (It didn't help that I only remembered their name and not the event they were performing at.) Tonight, I randomly tried looking again, and discovered that pretty much all of the 80s and 90s Olympic and Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies have been uploaded since I last looked. And I eventually ended up here. Thank you so much for uploading this. I can now switch that little piece of my brain that was obsessed with it over to something else.

This is truly amazing I was 13 in 1980. Let me tell everybody something Alan and his wife and the other person are 1 offs why I bet no other athlete trained like that I was shocked he was training like a elite, amateur or professional boxer. Seriously, he reminded me of my brother Lloyd morgan. Tottenham Boxing Club in the 1970s from 1977 onwards to 82. He train unbelievable hard exactly exactly exactly Alan Wells. Just reminded me of Lloyd speedball groundwork workouts. Steam coming from his body soon as I saw that I said Lloyd man hundred percent. Listen respect to Alan Wells. He was unbelievable a one off. I now I want to see the rest of this video .

I lived on Beaconsfield Tce, when it was the main road to get from Brisbane to the Southern end of the Hornibrook Bridge., hence to Redcliffe. During long weekends, particularly the Thursday night/afternoon, traffic would be banked up past the Brighton Hotel till late at night, up to 9pm and more. 2024 this year, is the 40th Anniversary of the Fast Train Proposal Melbourne, Sydney. As the Redcliffe train, only another 40 or so years left, and it may happen.
