The songs in F# minor actually. It's just that a lot of Neo Soul songs tend to start on the 2 or 4 chord.

It hits you instantly. People who've been playing for years if not decades even - we sense there's something different and unique. Right way.

Hey, this version sounds extremely good. Can I download the full song in good quality on Patreon and can I use it for Instagram, I would like to add my vocals. I just need this song, is that possible and what membership would I have to take out to download it on Patreon?

Why is everyone losing their minds over this? I love Prince, but there is nothing difficult or particularly impressive about this. It’s just a few blues riffs. I learned how to play it in 10 minutes.

That’s because U are a freaking genius Mikael!! Everyone else is just catching up to U, even Prince. Btw- when is Ur album coming out? Can’t wait to lose my mind over some real music. 🥸
@MikaelLewisify2 ай бұрын
@@Wordsareprayers I never claimed to be a genius, but I am a decent guitar player. That’s how I know that these are not difficult riffs. Prince was a musical genius, but these simple riffs are not really indicative of that. They’re cool. I’m not saying they’re not. just nothing particularly impressive about the riffs he’s playing in this particular song.

@@MikaelLewisify Ur modest!! I love that about U!! When? When does the world get to receive Ur incredibly new fresh riffs? I know for sure U won’t have to worry about some half baked yahoo that lives in his mama’s basement trying to harsh other’s enjoyment of Ur smooth original incredibly difficult jazz, blue, funk and roll stylings 🤓
@MikaelLewisify2 ай бұрын
@@Wordsareprayers I really think you are misunderstanding what I’m saying. I’m not dissing Prince. I’m actually a huge Prince fan. His true genius as a musician can be heard on albums like The vault, The Ride, The Undertaker, and The Truth. Also, the Gold Experience is one of my all time favorite albums. The material on those albums is so much more impressive than what hes playing in this acoustic version of Cream.
@Wordsareprayers2 ай бұрын
@@MikaelLewisify All misunderstandings will vanish as soon as we get to bump Ur extraordinary music. Can’t wait!! When, pray tell?

Great video, thanks for posting, as someone who is completely new to neo soul but would like to learn more am I right in thinking the neo soul sound is best played on semi hollow guitars? Sorry if this is this is a dumb question

The guitar body is awesome..It's a converted smart bathroom scale. Epic, right? Just took a neck and bridge, etc off a mid tier Gibson. It really helps with full measure and relative scale work. And it doesn't have excess weight like a usual electric full body. It's lean and full toned. It's great for playing Heavy Metal, Light Jazz, Classic Rock etc.

He gives him a shout out at the end of the intro. EDIT: Agree with your edit. I think arranger should be acknowledged description. Helps with search too, TBH.
