I have a fully modded DRZ400SM and a stock Husky 701 SM and can say the Husky is better in every way. I love both, but I would choose the 701 any day of the week. Clutch ups in second on the 701 are a breeze.

I don’t live too far from the dragon and have ridden it at least 30 times When I started watching this video, I could immediately tell that whoever was in that lead bike was going to run into some serious issues at some point in time. I just wasn’t sure what it was going to be whether it was gonna be an oncoming car or running out of lane…While trying to hug that line remember when you’re running the dragon it’s not a closed track. Give yourself some safety margins and you can run fast but have really good lines if you do.

Reason number 101 why I can ride with shoes 😂
@westsideartistmanagementny3328Күн бұрын
The speed limit was 30 from what I can see. Should be riding the speed limit. Maybe 5 over occasionally. Pretty simple. Otherwise go to a track. Endanger yourself at a track, not everyone else on a public road. There are innocent people driving there. This kind of bullshit is childish, selfish, narcissistic. I’d never ride the dragon - too many assholes like this guy.

New to the world of jet ski’s so mind my ignorance please. First, how does it not suck water into the motor? Second, these are loud I’d assume straight pipes? If the ski is off how does water not creep up the exhaust into an open exhaust valve?
@Floatsorrolls1Күн бұрын
@@crazyhawkeye10 great questions! 1. When doing a sub it’s always a risk of water getting ingested into the engine.(Not good!) I let out of it right away after the ski is completely under to reduce the risk but it’s definitely more of a concern on the newer 4 stroke skis. Also why i dont do them often and if you do try and do a sub u wanna drive straight for a while after, to let the ski syphon remaining water in the haul out. The intake is stock which helps reduce risk of sucking water in and would not recommend doing it with a aftermarket intake. 2. I have removed a resonator but isn’t straight piped. It still has all stock exhaust minus a large empty chamber in the back of the haul. The exhaust goes really high up under the hood and back down to the engine. The exhaust exit is below the waterline and comes up above the waterline inside the haul. Thts how water doesn’t flow in. We were going to remove baffling inside the exhaust but kept it for the exact reason you asked about the baffling in the exhaust manifold helps prevent water from splashing back in the engine if water did go up the pipe. Hope this helps and appreciate yah watching! 😎🤘🏼

That's a beautiful truck! And great, useful review. Thanks. As for myself, I'm going round and round about whether to get the 2025 Platinum Plus or Tremor, and whichever I get having it levelled/lifted 2.5 to 3.5"s and larger 35 tires with a bit of a poke, and higher end suspension components swapped in, or just getting the Raptor outright. I'm leaning towards the Platinum Plus with the Powerboost, but someone said the Tremor might come with the Powerboost as an option in 2025, and if that is true I will seriously consider that instead. I don't go off road anywhere near as much as I'm on the highway, but that torsion front differential and the skid plates of the Tremor sure would be nice to have. I'd love to get the luxury comfort on the inside but have better capability on and off road on the outside, my go anywhere, any time, any kind of weather luxury vehicle. One thing. Love that fitted rubber appearing bed matt, grippy and attractive, was that from the factory by Ford or after market? I am trying to decide if I should get the regular tailgate with the pull out step like you have here, or the new partially side opening tailgate they will be offering, which though it can still open down flat fully too, does lose the pull out step. I like the idea of adding a larger cold air intake, and the 402a package is more likely the route I'd go. The lake, the beach, or in my case as well, the ski mountain or a trailhead. If you have any thoughts to share about the above feel free.

For my budget the 401 would be fine. I’ve had both 5.0 and multiple 3.5 ecoboosts in newer F150 and now running a 2023 Power boost and I didn’t want to believe the eco co outdo the coyote but the 3.5 will absolutely destroy the 5.0 V8

I had a 2011 5.0 from 33k miles to 98k miles, it developed an engine tick so loud I got funny looks in parking lots. Dealers didn’t have any luck fixing it. I traded it in, eventually got a 2013 f150 EcoBoost, had it from 40k to 180k miles, no engine issues at all, always oil changes @ 5k miles, did all regular scheduled maintenance. Just traded it in for 2021 ecoboost tremor, so far it’s amazing, ridiculous power and got 20mpg driving it 4 hours back from the dealer @ 75 mph

Would you loosen the hinge bracket to change out the pole spring as well?
@Floatsorrolls17 күн бұрын
Yes! If you go with a aftermarket spring on the sxr. We opted for the spring tensioner. Ours is blowsion but i guess they stopped making it. With spring tensioners it not necessary as you can apply tension to oem spring enough to slide the tensioner in and install it. Much easier than replacing the spring it looks like ada still make an identical tensioner. We are happy with the tensioner though a aftermarket spring might have a slightly “lighter”feel. I don’t notice the handlepole being/feeling heavy with just the tensioner. 😎🤘🏼
@badm0t0rf1ng3r7 күн бұрын
@@Floatsorrolls1 I already bought the spring but I can definitely just chuck it on my "unopen, unused aftermarket parts" shelf. The tensioner looks much easier. The pole aint bad for a quick rip, but long rides are not fun.
