I grew up listening to the Ink Spots. I've never heard this rendition. Thanks Paul 🇺🇸

Bobby. Hatfield owns this song. He does it to absolute perfection. I wish people would quit trying to copy it. Because none of them do his version justice
@Cedarboy015 күн бұрын
@@charleskauffman3415 you're saying that this band is copying bobby Hatfield by singing this song? It's called a cover. Furthermore, bobby Hatfield wasn't the first one to sing the song, bobby Hatfields version is a cover of a song from a movie from 1954. So if you consider a cover of a song to be a "copy" then bobby Hatfield "copied" the song.

Faithful to the OG version but with a jazz flavor. These were the last recordings Jimmy ever made before his untimely death too and what a way to go out! I wonder who the “Ravens III” were tho?

I'm also confused as to why it's titled "the ravens |||" but the other side of the single says "the ravens ||" which is also weird.

Not sure, but definitely somewhere in the 1970s-1980s. Keep in mind, this isn't the original ink spots, rather an imposter group led by johnny smith, which to my knowledge was either formed in the 70s or 80s.

You've heard the original, right? Written by Bernie Mackey. Godwin sang with Mackey's group and kept this in his repertoire when he started his own group.

Yes, I've heard the original! I was very surprised to see this song was in this album, and i had a feeling that some of the croons and compositions in this album were inspired by bernie Mackey's spots, it makes a lot more sense now knowing that bill godwin was IN that group!

The guitarist who's name escapes me was also in Paul Kalet's Ink Spots (Kalet was a manager) which featured Ray Pollard formerly of The Wanderers (a great vocal group). Also, here's Bass singer Al Williams with his group on TV many years before this kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXXPk59qh7Wqfs0si=ysHSocO1qXcPHqPM

@@AustinCasey now that's some awesome rhythm! I'm definitely gonna upload some more songs in the future, I've been trying to look for a CD of lou raglands ink spots, but the struggle is real with collecting and i haven't been able to find a listing anywhere online for it, it must have been a lot of work for you too! Anyways thanks for stopping by Austin, i really appreciate it man!
