Mam, I have tried both. The desired and undesired. But, I am in a pattern of emotional chase and running. I approached a person, they gave me hot and cold until full cold. I chose to let go of the situation, they ran up to me to have a relationship and then they changed their mind. Now, when I let go, they appear and destroy my peace. Than, I mentally obsess (that is when they disappear). Than, I let go and they show up. It's a horrible emotional fluctuation.
