Good work, my friend. I believe what you’re referring to at 10:20 is “tribal knowledge”. 🙂

This was a great experience doing this podcast with you about authentic leadership and authentic communication, and how that will help business leaders have higher performance and more effective teams (and selves!), to boost the bottom line, and of course, a great team makes a leader look great too!!

One thing I've noticed is that empathy is a morbidly over-self-reported skill that many people claim to have, and do not. The vast majority of people will learn to communicate with and understand only the people like them, and then fail to comprehend that other people with different modes of thought even exist at all, then act surprised to find that out. It's very sad and often makes me feel like I'm stuck on a planet of sociopaths that are incapable of understanding that they're not Mother Theresa. And well, honestly, if someone needs to be told that people communicate and think differently, they're probably not going to get it ever.

I found awareness through my own journey of self-discovery, the desire to become more than I am today. It is a life-long journey, learning and applying that knowledge, loving others better.

Well said David! What follows below this paragraph is merely my opinion, I know neither you nor your situation, but I resonate with what you shared. It is my belief that you might want to work on separating external stimuli from internal response when dealing with people who "stomp" on you. It has helped me connect to greater degrees, both with my self and others.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I completely agree and have done a lot of work internally, processing my own feelings and emotions.

Not gonna lie son, you ain't making any sense at all. You're an appeaser, and you are being pushed around by normal people. Man up a little, develop a spine. People communicate differently, some are ineffective, like you. Some are assertive and direct. Assert a little and push back, or be ignored. That's how it works.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree it is important to be assertive!

That was the most disjointed feel-good way of saying "sometimes people put too much on you when you appear to be accepting." Why is soft-science so obsessed with never definitively saying anything? Abstracting to hypothetical labels of identity nobody can track or accurately validate in real situations does nothing for people. Most psychiatry is just a grift for people avoiding confrontation.
