Peck would be an interesting interview for Boden's collection at the Strong. All the one-hit wonder shows that never took off, his involvement with 3AC and the mess that show made for Barris, and the TJW hose job from Enright after Jack died.

I'm really grateful for Adam Nedeff. He was the one who confirmed the real reason (the real reason was because there was no interest in showing it).

This show was awful. I'm sure they could have found room for 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘬 and expand two of their soaps and debut 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘦𝘶𝘥 at the same time. The only problem with this alternate timeline is, I have no idea if 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 would have existed or not.

A few weeks later, this show would be interrupted by a CBS News Special Report in which a teary Charles Osgood announced the death of Lucille Ball.

This was in a way a revival of the Newlywed Game, but with a twist.

On this episode he got Louisiana from Pelican and right after missed McDonalds on the alphabetics round despite having the clues Hamburger and Big Mac (which was penalized for double word) + the letter 'M'. Then took way to much time on 3 other easy ones despite good clues. 'Oil' (with clues 'Shell' and 'mobile + 'O') Quadruplets (foursome and singers + 'Q') and Palm tree (Lucy's clues weren't great on that one though (tree + floam? and 'P')

I'm pretty sure I saw this show from the end of '69 through the end of the show. It looked similar to another show but where a divider went up between the partners and one had to guess money about whether or not the other could answer the question. It was called "Your Bet" and "It's Your Bet". It was on this 2nd show when I learned how naturally humorous Jimmy Darren was (he wasn't happy in the 60s about having to play Moon Doggy in all the Gidget movies after Sandra Dee's original). I like seeing him here and they were married until his recent death. Norm was married to her until his death (in 2020). Ken and Jackie divorced in 1976 and she was part of a group of ex-wives who were part of "the parties" that swirled around their husbands when married to "the" celeb and kicked to the curb when ditched. They appeared on Donahue, available here on YT. The acronym of the ex-wives club was L.A.D.I.E.S. The 4 who appeared on the show were Glen Campbell's wife, Michael Landon's wife, Allen Funt (Candid Camera fame) and Ken Berry's wife. If you want to see it search YT for Donahue and exes of celebs.

1:55 I dont know if Alex ever did bring the baby on the show. There was one episode not long on classic concentration where a contestant did bring her new baby to the studio with her, Alex insisted on bringing him on camera while the contestant introduced herself. After Alex put him back down he said because he waited so long to have a kid of his own, any time he got a chance to pick up someone else's baby he did. ❤ He clearly loved kids.
