Mario 64 (not DS) is also on hshop for possibly the easiest download option too. For anyone wondering about N64 emulation it is... not great. Mario 64 is really the only game I've gotten to run well on it with little to no glaring issues. PS1 emulation works better in my experience but it's still not great, I've gotten Xenogears, Warcraft 2 (with audio glitches) and that one Castlevania game to run well enough on it. (keep in mind N64/PS1 emulation only works on New models, don't even dream about trying it on older models) Speaking of PC games too, Myst was actually officially ported to the 3ds, but if you have other options you would probably want to look at those instead, as I hear it is one of THE worst ports of the game.

Ignoring raw power, the WiiU is the best Nintendo console and has been since release. Of course homebrew would do what official releases didn't and use that bucket of features, people even ported Sonic Mania to Wii and recreated Minecraft on GC for the lolz, fans are insane sometimes. And yes, New3DS is the best Nintendo handheld minus the raw power too. Switch is a good console, but it is very much a bad mush of both purposes in direct comparison. "Jack of all traits, master of none"-kind of stuff. 5:22 The point is exactly that, actually. Wii VC was literally just using the Backwards compatibility, not an emulator(And thank god, the DS emu is the only decent one among the official WiiU ones). It was simply their way to make some of the games more convenient to buy for cheap, plus the bonus of launching them quicker by doing it through the WiiU menu rather than having to go into the vWii menu. I don't see how this is a problem.

It shouldn't just be proximity but whole game chat

Gunna pop in to make a few corrections, I kinda made it sound like we "moved on" from Tiramisu TO Aroma but both are still useful. Aroma works with plugins and Tiramisu still supports a wider variety of mods. It's worth dual booting with both. Also Wii U chat has been pay-walled by Pretendo, I think it was free during the old Christmas beta but I'm not 100% sure.

Have to agree. I played this for the first time in '98; I would have been in Kindergarten. I had already been gaming for a few years - my dad was an avid PC game and built me a system for stuff like Monster Truck Madness 2 long before most kids even knew what a gaming PC was. We got an N64 with a few games and I just remember being underwhelmed at SM64. The levels are empty and the game has literally nothing to do except collect coins over, and over, and over again. The three Bowser fights are a copy/paste job. The people waxing poetic about how they could spend hours exploring each environment and experiencing the simple joy of controlling Mario are genuinely insane.

You can also play gamecube and wii games with the gamepad

There's a mod for Majora's Mask that fixes certain gameplay elements and restores changes to something more faithful to the N64 version.

6:43 if your on an old 3ds go with nsui and make it an .cia file Old 3ds's cannot run mgba well and it lags really badly.
