yep bought it 2 years or so after it came out. They dont update this version anymore and the steam library even doesnt have a banner anymore either. My first achievements say 2012, so i must have bought it around there. Theres a scary sound when driving around a corner near the start, i may record it one day but it kind of gives me minor ptsd haha. my anxiety sky rockets because all the times ive played it over the years its gotten under my skin and now a form of angst ocd obession. So i try to forget about it. Its either supposed to be a howler monkey, a zombie screaming or its the car wheels when turning, which makes no sense as you can slow down and the sound slows down too. Ive noticed it atleast 7-8 or more times ive played, maybe more when i played with friends back then. I tried playing again back in 2021 but eventually i just couldnt anymore. Just too eerie for me to play alone.

Glad you liked it :D Hehe yeah, a fair few pop up :D I have some from 2006 related with other games, like world of warcraft, playing it after confirmation during summer as a 16 year old and waking up early morning one day, going downstairs to eat quick noodles as breakfast, play wow and then going on a long bike ride. I still remember the time of going outside, 6-7 in the morning and meeting two partygoers who commented on my hair being thick and long. They used the word yarn as slang to describe my hair. "What wild yarn he has". Its super fun to look back on old gaming saves etc, like screenshots and such. The nostalgia i felt looking back on this and my Fallout 3 saves was amazing.

@swagumad7543 A full server implies more packet loss, more lag in the hit registry, more loading time, etc. It's practically a unplayable game. Also, the mode that is played when the server is full is basically a bad copy of project reality, so it is better in that case to go directly to play project reality, which also has WW2 maps. And the disconnection error does not occur in RO1, the base game, only in that mod, so it is a DH problem, and they have not been able to solve it simply because it is a useless and mediocre dev team

And I'd say you should buy the game if you really, really want to play it, then its worth the money, even if there are cheaters (I cant confirm this myself), but you will have to take it into account if there are cheaters. Imo it is worth the price of 12,49 euro if youre going to play it a lot. The offline modes add future offline value too. But if you suspect you will only play it for 2 hours, then its not worth it. You could do some math about the price you use on it. If you play the game for 12 hours and you paid 12,49 euro, then you've used only 1 euro on each hour almost. And the more hours you put into enjoying this game, the more worth you get out of your game. 12,49 / 12 = 1.04 euro.

That's interesting, when did this occur? Just days ago or a year or so? Surprised to hear that players aren't attracted to custom map servers. It's one thing I love and have been doing for over a decade myself, hanging on certain custom map servers because I liked it so much, sometimes months, even once, in 2014 for CSGO, I kept coming back to a custom map server that was finnish and had a very active playerbase, using mainly sauna styled custom maps, very funny. I kept coming back for a year, throughout 2014 to early 2015 then lost interest when CSGO got the XP rank system, which you could only get on official servers. But I still love custom maps ofc. Now in 2018 I'm tired of the XP system. The publishers behind the developers went bankrupt sadly, so they couldnt keep the servers going because a lack of money. Fully agree, my favourite mp game of 2016, it had so much potential like you said, but the publishers decided to pull the plug. I think I read that this game was their last hope of earning more to save themselves but it didnt sell enough. I remember another player said on steam forums it could have been from poor advertisement, because a lack of money in the first place. Lets hope someone decides to buy the game etc from them to continue it, but I fear as the months go on and we are soon a year after it stopped, chances are more and more slim of it becoming alive again.

True! I still go back to it here and there, what they should do though, the devs, is add it to steam as a mod. That would make the mod massively populaire again.

Sadly I doubt the devs will considering they have gave up on the official ZM website / forums.
