Just wanna say this playlist is such a godsend! I was going through this game on my own but my game got corrupted and when I redownloaded it, my save was gone. I had gotten really far into it too so I wasn't exactly wanting to go through it all again. But thankfully I found your playthrough series and I love how you structured it in an episodic sort of way! Just wanted to thank you again for this!

What are the best Growlanser games? I finished G1 last week and can't stop thinking about it. A genuine masterpiece for me. I have heard G4 is comparable to it. Is is true? What about the rest?

Well, 1 is undoubtedly a masterpiece. Many people consider it the best 2 is a sequel to one, however the story is very short, the gameplay is different from 1, and I only consider it a side story 3 is a prequel to 1, and it's also very short 4 is pretty good, in terms of gameplay it is most similar to 1 and adopting some systems from 2 and 3. But the story is not as long as 1. the good and bad sides are not the same as 1, so whether it is on par with 1 depends on how you evaluate it 5 is the most different from the previous games, opinions are very divided here. 6 is the sequel to 5, basically if you like 5, you'll like this, and vice versa.

If you can speak Japanese (since you've played 1), personally I recommend you play the ps2 version of 4. Because the psp version already comes with new routes (plot twists) and most people who start from the psp version tend to get into the plot twists rather than the canon story. However, if you want to play the psp version, I recommend you to play the canon story first and continue to GL4-Return (ps2).

@@AlvistMave Thanks for the tip. I will play it in Japanese but i prefer to play it on the PSP because of the mobility but i will make sure to do the original route first and then i will play Return. After that i will do the new routes.

This is also undub version, but I also played jp version on its original language, for VI, I used save file from pure jp version, not from this version

Yup, I played steam version I don't remember how, but you can change it to undub version, have you tried change the version using square button (iirc) when you're choosing mega man X8?
