Yeah that is true. The whole Shots system need a rework to stop chaos from happening

A full VR mode is not planned at the moment. But I’m interested in what kind of system you are running and what VR hardware. Lumen is pretty heavy to render in stereo unless you have a super gaming computer.

@CineTracer Thank you. 3080ti and 4080 threadripper systems. Have an MR or a tracked tablet mode might really help when it comes to prep on a IRL space. Just an idea to consider. Try UEs pixel streaming or virtual scouting options to get a taste.

Let me know how it goes, we've added some bounce/flags in the last update. They have horrible inventory icons still though.

There is no free trial atm. If you buy Cine Tracer you also get Cine Tracer 2 on Steam. If you play less than 2 hours you can refund on Steam.

Cine Tracer 2 requires an Apple Silicon Mac to run. So M1, M2, M3, etc. I use and Mac Mini M2 a more powerful M3 runs it much smoother.

The current importer in CT2 can handle certain GLTF files. It can only handle meshes right now, so no skeletons, groups, lights, cameras. There is a video on this channel showing the steps to prep the GLTF file from Blender. I haven’t tested trying to do this directly from UE5’s GLTF exporter.

Yeah it’s this tiny button on the top left of the parameters UI. I need to make that more obvious. It was meant to be also Escape but that didn’t make it to this build. Thanks for the reminder to fix this.

That is not currently possible, but it's a system I'm looking at implementing. The main issue is that for them to be able to "AI" walk around is they need a clear path. Which it's very easy to design a set where they get trapped and the whole system kind of dies. At the moment if you use "Stand In" Actors, you try to use the "Shots" system to have them animate around.

The new Meta Actors have a selection of animations you can pause or let play out. These "Stand In" actors shown here can't be posed, however they are really light to render.

@@CineTracerI’ve made the shotlist function serve the purpose of animating cam move. For pre-viz purposes, it was enough to identify camera placement, lighting, blacking as series of static frames and positions. Thanks Matt!

Hey, that is a tricky one. The GLTF importer we have is very picky and for now you need to really prep it yourself in Blender. Interiors are always harder to get good quality and game engine compliant. You can look on SketchFab to start. I have to look into UE5 GLTF scene exporting as well.

What Mac system are you running it on and what settings? My Mini M2 can run it at like 30fps at 720p. It is definitely a heavy lift for the lower end Apple Silicon at the moment.

Do you mean set the height of the light and a light stand appears and adjusts its height automatically? Or flags on c stands automatically appear?

Please join the new Discord channel, there are some solutions to the crashing issue posted there. I feel like a 1080 should be able to run it at modest settings.

@@CineTracer the next time you start you can enable the overlay again

there are several solutions that have worked for people. If you join the Discord they have been posted. Otherwise: Try launching the app from Explorer. Try deleting the old project files from Explorer. Try reinstalling and updating graphics card drivers. Someone in this video comments said turning off the Steam overlay fixed it. This new 0.7+ build uses Unreal Engine 5.4 and it’s caused this crash for a lot of systems.

That is a common issue with this update. We are still tracking it down. If you join the Discord that is likely where the solution will be found. Things like reinstalling, updating graphics drivers, and launching directly and not from Steam have solved this issue for others.

Others have suggested GeForce now, I have to look into what is required. Are there any other “app” style games on GeForceNow?

​@@CineTracer Not that I could find, but they have Besiege that is nicely integrated with the steam workshop and allows you to get games assets from there and have them ingame, even materials and stuff like that. I believe Besiege is the closest thing to CT there is on GFN right now

@CineTracer Just for info I discovered that Cities Skylines II has an ingame mod manager that allows to open up their mod store. Actual game changing mods don't work but I can download and play on custom maps.
