I did research on piranhas and went to a fish store making sure I’m getting everything I need to care for piranhas and I learned you need at least 4 but preferably 5 or more in a pack and they need to be the same or about the same size when buying them so they won’t kill each other.

Love your video. Very informative. We have had our sideneck we rescued for around 4yrs. Bring him indoors to a 40 gallon aquarium during the winter. He's in our outdoor koi pond in warm months.... So Carl is around 6 yrs. And when we brought him in for winter.... He/She started laying eggs.😮 well we have been doing the usual of keeping the aquarium clean and the water keeps looking milky not clear? Not sure how we fix this or can be fixed. She's completely healthy just can't see her due to the water. Any suggestions?
@aquatickeeper335627 күн бұрын
Feeding her in a different container could help keep the water clear. I would also suggest adding a filter.

Where did you get your UVB/A lamp ? If Amazon what is the name of it😭 I’m fixing to buy one from petsmart but I wanted to get my tank together first
@aquatickeeper3356Ай бұрын
I bought the actual lamp from a local aquarium store. The 💡 is a splash proof light made by Zoo Med.

Looks really cool your turtles have grown so much they are doing great .. you could put some artificial grass on the top build a wall around the top also and fill the water level up to the top 👌🏼 .. look forward to your next video 🙂🐢

Just a thing, i am an acvaristician profesionist, if this is your fish, be careful full, my blue tang alsow has this problem, the white dots on it’s head mean that there is a virus in the water, make sure to contact as soon as possible a professional person in marine water

Question, did you not cycle your take for weeks prior to putting him in? If not, was Uno alright? I’m scared bc I’m getting mine this weekend and I did not do the traditional cycling time frame
@aquatickeeper33562 ай бұрын
Make sure you test the water before adding your fish.
@tialolla-clebert54762 ай бұрын

@aquatickeeper33562 ай бұрын
No. mines does not creak. Must be the screws rubbing the wood. I don’t move it around too much anyway. The aquarium is currently sitting on it.

goldfish have thymates and thymates can block your turtle from getting b1 if it ever would eat them and rosey red minnows never give either
@aquatickeeper33563 ай бұрын
He’s doing fine. Thanks for sharing.
@wargoddess774 ай бұрын
you need a better filter like a canister filter that filters 2-3 times the amount of water so if you have a 40 you want a canister filters 80 gallons or more and so fourth
@aquatickeeper33564 ай бұрын
Definitely not necessary on this size aquarium. Thank for sharing. This filter will work just fine.
