Tuned in thinking this was using watercolors. But instead you use acrylic paints. Suggest changing the title.

I'm wondering if you smoothed the foil out with your fingers and if that's why the color isn't sitting in some places and instead spreads away. I love LOVE this idea! Thank you for sharing!

Not a criticism, just a question. Is it necessary to texture the back, make multiple adjustments and re-texture it over and over? It seems like you could just do the texture at the end.

While I found your tutorial informative, I think you need to practice more with your overall speaking. I found at times you were very indecisive , which made it confusing. You have created a beautiful piece, but your presentation definitely needs more work. Sorry.

What an amazing tutorial! I love this technique but I get to the painted pieces part and I am never able to let it dry properly. lol I get too excited. But the thumbnail of your beautiful finished piece really drew me in. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

I am watching your video and I'm at the part where you add the translucent clay over the gold leaf. I'm wondering if it would work to instead using clear liquid polymer clay over the gold leafing? Or would the liquid polymer not stick to the leafing? Thanks!

Contrary to some comments, I think the end product looks great. As you stated there are many types of Turquoise.

By now you have probably watched other tutorials on youtube so you are doing great. I love watching all the tutorials as I'm always picking up some pointers.
@edwinleach4013
@edwinleach4013 Жыл бұрын
I will try to give you some pointers. First, I would make many thin to medium slices and then push them together to get rid of joint spaces. You can use a roller to smooth the pieces out. I wouldn't use the bronze wax on the surface. The bronze and gold leaf should be enough along with the mica powders. For a first tutorial you did great. Don't let the negative comments get you down. We are all learning as we go. We do this to have fun. Some projects turn out great and others not so. Keep going and have fun.

Concerning your comment near the beginning about the sticky, sticky clay. After I make my skin or blends before, I do anything else, I put them between paper and leech them, sit on them for 10 minutes with the paper on each side of the clay and your weight and body heat will quickly leech out some of the plaster sizes. You will need to recondition it, so that the inside clay in the outside clay that its dryer will mix well then continue, it really helps especially in Kane making

As most the others commented - your choice of colors is awesome! If I could make a friendly suggestion, an hour long video is too long. Editing can be a great thing.

this really a lovely leopard print cane, but with better editing the video could have been half the length and a lot more enjoyable. With all the redo for steps it was obviously the first time building the cane. Again, great cane - worth re-editing it.

Faux is pronounced 'foe'... It's a French word, so not pronounced as it's spelled. Also alchemy is pronounced 'alkemmy'. Hope that helps! :-) Thanks for the tutorial! I loved it!
