I absolutely love Adrenaline. So raw and powerful, not super fresh or too complex but it really just makes my brain tingle in all the right places. I love music, I play drums and bass yet I can almost never listen to a whole album(probably the adhd and/or autism lol) But man Adrenaline is one of my very few no-skip albums. I have it on cd and love blasting it on the way to the skatepark or anytime I want to get pumped haha

Great list! I agree with a lot of things you said. My ranking: 9. Gore - I really like prayers/triangles, doomed user, hearts/wires, and phantom bride. Every other song is kind of a snoozefest though. 8. Ohms - A very mixed album for me. I like genesis, ceremony, urantia, the spell of mathematics, and ohms is one of the best album closers ever. 7. Adrenaline - Has some good songs like bored, root, 7 words, and engine 11. It just sounds pretty rough around the edges and the production quality is not very good. I think that in this era they were still trying to find out what they wanted to sound like. Overall, it's a pretty good album. 6. Deftones - I didnt like this album at first, but after listening to it a lot, it started to grow on me. I think the first 6 tracks are the best, and bloody cape is also good. But I think the other songs are the some of their most forgettable songs ever. 5. SNW - I think this is their most divisive album. It has some of their best songs and some of their worst songs. There are some great hits on here like hole in the earth, beware, cherry waves, mein, xerces, and kimdracula. And then there are songs like ratsratsrats, pink cellphone, and rapture, which I HATE. (Sorry) 4. Diamond eyes - this a great album. No matter who you are or what you like, I think everyone can enjoy this album to a certain extent. Every song on here is on my playlist, except for this place is death. I just think its a pretty boring song. 3. Koi No Yokan - I think that Koi No Yokan is just a better version of diamond eyes. It doesnt have sextape, but it has swerve city, tempest, rosemary, entombed, romantic dreams, leathers, goon squad, and what happened to you, and I think those are all some of deftones greatest songs. There are a few filler songs, but other than that, I love this album. 2. Around the fur - This is the time when deftones started developing their sound. A lot of hits on here like my own summer, the title track, and of course, be quiet and drive. I'm not big about mascara but I still like it. There really are no bad songs on this one. A big step up from adrenaline. 1. White Pony - This is a based spot for #1, but for a reason. This album goes so hard, from feiticera to pink maggit. I even like back to school, which apparently people don't like.

After about 15 minutes at most I noticed it's biggest flaw and said "hey what the heck? You don't have much freedom and its mostly just presets with a little tweaking?" Seems more like a $50 plugin at the most and it's wild people are saying this is a Saturn competitor. Let's hope it updates with consumer feedback in mind.

This is the same setup I freeze the track, it will be a multichannel file routing to the channels instead of having the audio files in the channels. That's not ideal for editing. How do you handle bouncing, rendering, freezing, etc?
@ADistortedPerception2 ай бұрын
So depending on the size of the project but I don't usually need to freeze. I will sometimes bounce out the audio and delete the routing afterwards and mix the audio files once I'm too that point.
@synapticschism2 ай бұрын
@@ADistortedPerception thank you for replying. I've been searching for this for days and you gave me some luck since I found the solution between my question and your answer. I was freezing by selecting the track with Kontakt and to achieve what I wanted I had to select that track and the tracks with the channels the Kontakt track is routing to. It's that easy but didn't cross my mind.
@ADistortedPerception2 ай бұрын
No problem, I'm glad it was helpful. I save multiple routed drums once I get them to the point I like as a template. After that it's easy to drop them into a track. Most of the time I mix on the individually routed tracks and never freeze or bounce to audio. Whatever your system can handle.
@synapticschism2 ай бұрын
@@ADistortedPerception Yep I get it. I'm returning to Reaper and the first track template I created was Khrim Drums! This whole freeze thing is because I have guitars, bass, drums and then big orchestra and synths and effects, it gets messy for my computer. To avoid issues I just commit everything to audio before mixing and freezing is just convenient.

@@ADistortedPerception Yes, if you can put something together showing how you setup your EQ for the kick and whatever else, that would be awesome. First time messing with this type of thing, so I have no clue where to make the adjustments in the EQ. The Bass is easier cause that plugin is pretty straightforward. But if you have something showing how to setup the EQ, that would be fantastic. The way you have this kit setup is exactly what I have been searching for in SD3 for a few months now.

Hello! Looking for some advice on this kit. I currently own the Thomas Pridgen and Gojira kit, is this worth the purchase or would I be getting a very similar sounding product?
@ADistortedPerception3 ай бұрын
This Kit has way more options than either of those kits with at least 5 different kick drums alone. I like the Cymbals in Mangini over either of those kits combined. The amount of Velocities are way more detailed in the Mangini kit also. I still love the Gorjira shells more but I like to combine both kits. Also this has way more shell options than either and the shells are very different. Hope this helps!

They’re not “masking” high notes. The recording was actually from the early 2000’s. The distortion on vocals is likely for artistic purposes due to this song being about sexual abuse and pedophilia; they’re likely choosing to make it sound “fucked up”
