Tried this in Vegas 20. When I restarted Vegas, it didn't recognize any of the clips I'd been editing. I shut it down again, changed the folder name back to what it was, and then reopened the file. The clips were there, but the music video I was trying to import is still missing the audio track :(.

I did this but now have streaks which I can't remove any ideas?

I guess I need to double check it. I didn't see any obstructions. What if there arent any?

Thanks for the great information. Just what I needed. I've worked with cable and cable clamps for years and never thought about this. Also, the "saddle" of the clamp is the flat part, the other part is the U bolt. The part of the cable that bears load is the live line. The excess is the dead line. You should always put the saddle over the live line. In other words, "Never saddle a dead horse".

This works! Thanks! The folder to be edited is in the "FileIO Plug-Ins" folder. NOTE: After changing the name of the folder, you do have to restart the Sony Vegas program for the change to take effect.

Cheers oil is something not mentioned you get this bottle but it doesn't say what oil to use or how.

I've had a B&D mains trimmer for ten years or so, and it's always been a nightmare. Wouldn't feed reliably, and was constantly breaking off. I was re-feeding it manually every few feet. Don't underestimate the importance of keeping the line supple. I have a bulk spool of Stihl line off eBay, good stuff, but probably been in storage for too long. I soaked it all thoroughly, and now the machine runs like a Swiss watch, after all the years of frustration. Obviously the feed mechanism needs to be working freely, but if it is then consider giving the line some TLC.

Great info on that pivot pin. the trimmer spool cap fell off and when I put it back together it kept feeding string. After reading your post I went back and found the pivot pin in the the grass.

This video is very helpful thank you. Just my two cents, if you are doing your own string refills, make sure you have the right size trimmer string first. Then when you refill your spools, take the time to restring it properly. Otherwise the string might get snagged in the spool when trying to push out more string.

I bought two of these models and they both didn't work the easy feed did not feed anything and I did exactly what you said everything was working moving back-and-forth inside the trimmer there it just plainly doesn't work

Thank you, four years later! I have a newer model, but your video had enough information for me figure out why the edger was still knocking down weeds but why debris was suddenly spraying everywhere. Thanks to your video, I knew what to look for, and I was lucky to find the little plastic piece that had fallen out since they don't come in the refill kits! Eight extra springs for no reason, but no extra plastic do-hickeys!

How does one cause more line to release?

I thought one could release some line as needed by tapping the spool on the ground. This videographer doesn't cover what causes the ratchet arm to release line.

What if it keeps feeding to much every other minute?🤬🤬

I just tried it out. The line disappeared into the spool. I'm not sure how it's supposed to release more line rather than retracting into itself.
