The song at 35:30 is Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau isn't it? The Welsh anthem. Is it being sung in Breton here? Do you know where this recording comes from Jim Corleone?
@jimcorleone78613 жыл бұрын
Exactly, this song is called "Bro gozh ma zadoù" in breton. It is sung to the same tune as that of the national anthem of Wales.

Have to know: Breton language (Brezhoneg) is actually spoken by about 200 000 people. We don't know exactly because the french laws (ruling Brittany) does'nt allow counting Breton speakers ! France is still proclaiming: there is only one language in France, the french language.
@brob97743 жыл бұрын
That is because France has been trying to destroy cultures that are from old countries or different people, so that they can promote their version of history where France has always been France and in unity

Indeed, Breton and Cornish are from the same Celtic language branch (which was called the “P” branch since some words begin with P while they begin with “c” in Irish/Scottish which form the “Q” group).

Percussions are classic animal skin drums with various names, and also the marching stick. For string instruments we have banjos, dulcimers, bouzoukis, luthes, fiddles, harps, and hurdy gurdies. For winds, we can find binious which are singular equivalents of bagpipes with more expressive articulations (such as vibratos), bagpipes, uilleann pipes (sounding more like clarinets), bombards (lower pitch and more buzzy equivalents) and tin whistles. Bagadou instruments will hardly play with more northern celtic instruments like great highland bagpipes because the breton bagpimes as well as biniou are tuned in Bb whereas the scottish bagpipes are in G
