Sounds a lot like his piece “Catching Shadows” in the beginning 😂

Awesome stuff! I like to start with intervals, and then talk about construction of Triads and then construction of 7th chords. Just another way to think about it as opposed to relating it to a scale
@Djk12462 ай бұрын
The whole, dominant 7th means F major can get really confusing. Even though I get where you're coming from, kids will say what about a dominant 7 that starts on E flat?

How do you know which note is which?
@flyingpiggy14752 ай бұрын
Memorization. Or it could be in a pentatonic scale where no matter what you play, it’s gonna sound good

Could you please explain why some higher notes have longer resonators? I thought higher notes required shorter resonators.

And I thought Gary Burton was the only one who could perform out of this world magic with 4 mallets. My goodness where does that brain talent come from. The keys have to be an extension of their whole mind. I'm gobsmacked by this. Incredible.

is the grain always vertical? Are chamfered ends and rounded corners important acoustically? Wouldn't sharper edges and ends sound better?
