Do you mean the planting or the soil cultivation, planting , watering, documenting, etc. Planting cycle of this machine takes 3-5 seconds, it's what happens around the planting event that counts. If you're not performing soil cultivation with an excavator then this machine is not for you. If, however, you're already mounding, ripping, pitting etc. with an excavator then the whole point is to add the rest of the processes usually undertaken during professional re-establishment to the mix.

Here in Finland, for instance, we always perform soil cultivation with an excavator. Cleaning harvesting residue, slash, and performing the mounding will always take time, but gives seedlings the best chance for survival and growth - which is ultimately what the forest owner is looking for. In addition to soil cultivation and planting at a consistent depth (remember tap rooted seedlings need to go deep enough) our reforesting machines can add water, fertilizer, pesticide and each and every plant is recorded with a GPS location and the operator can follow target to actual density to avoid overworking compartments. In terms of productivity, the model in this video is quite old - but our contractors average roughly 200 seedlings per hour with the mounding planter "PM" - all stages combined. This will vary with the terrain, amount of slash, ground conditions and operator experience. If you have enough manual labor in your area, then of course working manually might not be an issue. However, the TRC is designed for those who may want to work from the comfort of their cabin - running around in the forest among the twigs and branches in heavy downpours might not be to everyone's taste. Also, work efficiency depends more on the operator not the tool.

You should be able to see from this video that the operator has been averaging 220 pcs/hour (this includes in-field plant logistics and reloading). Far from the 100 you're mentioning. Where did you get your figures from?

Посадка, проив и так далее. Но даже если верить вашим 12 секундам то на 1 гектар посадки леса необходимо почти 2 рабочих дня. Что очень много. Мы с одним простым агрегатом на тракторной тяге сажаем за 8 часов -2 гектара леса. 😉🙋‍♂️
