All about your comfort but looks like your mirrors are now useless and the hand swells of your fairing no longer protect your hands at all. Was it really forward progress?😅
@Badgerbiker4 ай бұрын
@@LHawk-l8f I just put 600 miles on this weekend and couldn’t be happier. No neck pain at all. I did remove the fairing mirrors and installed bar mounted mirrors on which turns out to be even better than the fairing mounted mirrors ever were. As far as my hands back out in the wind, I’m ok with that. I’ve been riding for 30+ years and it’s never bothered me before. I usually wear gloves anyway. So yah I’d say I made forward progress. Thanks for watching!

I thinking about taking off from here in Kentucky to Colorado on my 2016 Heritage Softail. I’ve never been further than Smokey mountains on a bike before. And that’s only 250 miles away 😂. So I dunno how it would go. Been riding off and on for 20 years but just never took any long trips. I suck at planning things so all I know to do is just pack a bag and take off and go. I got the money and I got the time….i just can’t seem to make myself get started
@Badgerbiker4 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyRebKy I am a believer in the only plan you need is to put your butt on the seat. I literally reserved this bike and got the airline ticket 18 hrs before I was on this bike and riding in Colorado. Once I got on the bike I headed for the closest, coolest destination I thought was near me which was Pikes Peak. I started looking for a place to stay when I was eating supper. It was like that all 4 days I rode in Colorado. BEST ride I have done so far! Get on and ride you won’t regret it!

@@Badgerbiker well it’s a 1200 mile ride for me just to get to Denver or so. Having had 5 back surgeries in my life already I’m not sure how well I can handle that. That’s what worries me. Long long way from home to have trouble. It’s not the bike that worries me. It’s capable. It’s ME I worry about lol
@Badgerbiker4 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyRebKy I hear yah. Well I recommend you checkout Eagle rider in Denver. I used the “Denver Airport” Eagle rider which is not really near the airport. I landed at Denver and “Lyft” for a ride to the Eagle rider. Signed a few papers and in about 15 minutes I was strapping my bag to the Heritage. It cost me $170/day unlimited miles. Not sure what it cost now but they have many bikes to choose from including some non Harley brands. Very easy people to work with and Uber or Lyft is also easy to sign up with. I hope you find a way to do a good trip.

Nice buddy good video, I have a question about your bike can you please tell me how he handle twisties.
@Badgerbiker4 ай бұрын
@@sejttan I thought it did very well. I’ve heard some people complain about the Heritage lack of lean angle and scraping floorboards everywhere but I found it to be just plenty capable of sharp switch backs without any dragging of the boards. The bike has a very low center of gravity that makes it very easy to maneuver even loaded up with gear and at low speeds. Handling wise I’d give it 5 stars!

@@fxdx68 Lol. I thought the same thing. Harley Davidson sets the route and if you stray from it they will kick you off the test rides. For the sake of curiosity. Is it legal to ride without helmet on every state in the US or just in some places? Btw, great videos of the trip and awesome bike!
@Badgerbiker9 ай бұрын
Thank you. Every state has its own helmet laws and the details of the law can vary. Here in Wisconsin you are required to wear a helmet if you are riding with a learners permit and not yet fully licensed as a motorcycle driver or you are under 18 yrs old. If you are licensed motorcycle rider and above 18 years old, wearing a helmet is your choice. Some states every rider no matter age or experience is required to wear a helmet. Thanks for watching!!
