I noticed you always bake with powdered sugar instead of just sugar, is there a reason why?

Yay. I am so happy to see bagels. Love them, also love to make them. I live in South Africa, and bagels are hard to find. Not every grocery store has them. Also if you find them, they are really expensive. So I was curious how it tastes after seeing on KZbin people love it, and made it from peppy kitchens recipe. Lovely. Had it once at a restaurant and was disappointed because it was too touph. So totally worth it to make it at home, like you say no preservatives and made with love. They freeze beautifully.

I’m loving this style of video! I’m definitely taking notes on some great varieties I’ve never heard of 😊 it’s odd that the Armenian cucumber began turning bitter for you but I’m so happy you were able to find another variety that grew well in your garden! I myself love growing Armenian cucumbers but now I have to also try the other one you mentioned!☺️

So love watching your videos and your thoughts and experience with different types. I live in Canada and although our weather is completely different I watch your videos for the information you provide and of course watching your garden grow and the ways you cook and preserve your harvests. I love cucumbers and hoping I get more this year then last year didn’t get a lot and wasn’t able to do pickles 😢 still trying to figure out what works for my zone/ area the best. I think the double yield might but I haven’t seen them here anywhere but I will be looking for them now Have an amazing day and can’t wait to watch you and your garden grow

Thank you for sharing! The only fresh slicer that I like is the silver slicer. I generally enjoy eating pickling cucumbers much more but never really thought about juicing cucumbers so you’ve given me something to think about. I also didn’t realize that munching cucumbers were different from pickling. I have discovered that putting a shade cloth blocking the south sun has definitely helped extend their growing season and lessening the bitterness.

I can’t grow past middle of May here in low desert of Arizona zone 9b without shade cloth! Great stuff!

Haha when you were making the bread and your daughter knew the camera angle enough to lean across and say hi - so cute! I hardly ever find time to make homemade pasta but it’s so good when I do. I spent the afternoon making kimchi and lacto-pickles and kabees el lift (Turkish turnip pickle that’s pink)

I’m a bit tomato obsessed lol. I’m growing Barry’s Crazy Cherry, Chocolate Sprinkles, Blue Cream, Isis, Sun Sugar, Pineapple (my favorite), Hungarian Heart, Gilberte, Dr Wyche and Amish Paste. Still deciding on a couple so not 100% yet.

The spoon tomatoes are definitely a pain but the flavor is so good! They ended up being my snacks while I worked in the garden. I didn't despise them as much then. I tried the atomic grape for the first time last year and I'll have to agree that the flavor isn't the best. I have some older seeds from a variety called domingo that I am going to try to germinate. They are by far the largest tomatoes I have ever grown and taste great!
@ShepherdingPeppersFarm2 күн бұрын
I know what you mean. Everyone in our house loved them (minus the tomato haters). Maybe if I could recruit them to help pull them, it would make it easier, lol. I'll have to write down that tomato on the varieties I'd like to try in the future. Please let me know how it grows to see if germination is successful!
@Volfor3212 күн бұрын
Without even trying I had several 1.5 pound tomatoes with the Domingo's. You would be shocked to see the world record tomato <hint>. It's on youtube

Hi Natasha, when you start several seeds in each cup, do you separate them and pot them up? Or do you leave the most healthy and cut the others?
@ShepherdingPeppersFarm2 күн бұрын
I separate them when up-potting. Some growers will thin after sprouting instead of reducing to one solo plant, but I have a hard time throwing out any sprouted plants. I will have a video on the up-potting process in the future!
