3D printing should lead the charge in lunar development, but why does it feel like we're trying to open a chain of Holiday Inns on the Moon? You're on a whole new celestial body, and the first priority is... partition walls and rec rooms? C'mon, let's dream a little bigger!

How much money is spent trying to mitigate damage from sea level rise just in America?? Trillions on a war you can't win,, I think it's cheaper to change the way we live than to try and beat nature 🤔

In other words, skyscrapers are extremely costly to maintain. Initial cost is just a fraction the total cost of ownership.. Claiming that skyscrapers can outlast pyramids is completely ridiculous if it depends on replacing the whole load-bearing structure every 100 years.

The main problem with this idea is that buildings in cities are surrounded by other buildings which will reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the facades of solar integrated buildings.

Just as the tidal barriers in London are being used twice as often as had been anticipated and hence will likely require to be replaced, the same will probably true of this tidal barrier unless they pessimistically estimated climate change. All the forecasts so far have been conservative in order to be more likely to be believed and we've exceeded every prior prediction so far. A pessimistic forecast for this project is unlikely as it would greatly increase the cost of the project. The barriers will also further stagnate the waters which in that region is already often hypoxic due to the red tide from all the fertilizer use.

Glad this is a thing right now, this was my thesis before but not solar. I integrate vertical turbines as part of the main facade creating both kinetic energy and kinetic facade which creates an optical illusion that the building is moving :D

Green hydrogen refers to hydrogen produced through electrolysis of water using renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind power. This production process does not rely on fossil fuels and therefore does not produce carbon dioxide emissions. Green hydrogen is considered a clean energy source that can replace traditional fossil fuels, especially in industrial, transportation, and energy storage sectors, helping to achieve carbon neutrality goals. Electrolyzers use electrical energy to split water molecules, producing hydrogen and oxygen.

The reason they WILL NOT actually answer the question on this video .., is because they KNOW the TRUTH about the real answer!…. Here is the TRUTH… Scientific fact, not only is the reinforced steel in modern concrete an enormous problem with erosion, the actual concrete itself also has a specific limited shelf life scientifically before it begins to break down! … Even with the very best technology, and the best mix of concrete for a particular building project.., all the physics say a maxim life is 50 years SAFELY for the reinforced concrete mix! After 50 years, it will no longer be safe without massive maintenance! Rust will make all the connections and joints holding up the building unsafe. Also, with no maintenance.., the ACTUAL POURED CONCRETE ITSELF breaks down starting at about 30 years, but after 50 years it is officially unsafe! The surf side building in Florida, for example, happened because of rusted steel in between the concrete, rusted fasteners and joints, and crumbling concrete.., that had reached it’s 50 year shelf life .., but VISIBLY ACCELERATED in real time because of the corrosive salt in the sea water moisture!!! Engineers KNOW that most sky scrapers and other midsized high rise buildings.., are a ticking time b8$b because they have already aged out. I would never suggest buying a condo, or working in old office buildings more that 50 years old that have not been SERIOUSLY renovated and are up to code!!! Occupied buildings are a plus by heating and air helping to prolong the life of a building.., but that will only go so far! Bottom line, true structural engineers give the lifespan of a scraper without maintenance 50 years max!!! Please do NOT confuse concrete with NATURAL STONE BUILT STRUCTURES.., Natural Stone Buildings can last for CENTURIES! Some have lasted for a Millennium, and some structures for thousands of years!!! Real stone structures and modern concrete, are not to be mentioned in the same sentence.., unless you’re telling a joke! Also the Parthenon is a small building, not made with steel that can rust, and is not remotely made up of today’s concrete materials! One small “concrete” building made up of completely different materials.., CAN NOT be compared to a 70 story sky scraper made out of modern day concrete !!!!
