I have a welder that's 110/220v+15%. Input current is 39v. I'm waiting to get an extension cord for it but I don't know what to get. It came with a 6" N6-50 3 prong 240v that converts to a type b and the cord coming from the welder is also a type b. Theoretically I could plug any household extension cord but I know that's not a good idea. Also I'm not sure how the welder is even running off 240 when the plug is covered to type b on the output? Hopeing you could shed some light on this and give me some advice or recommendations on an extension cord under 25ft?

Do you even know what CE certified means? It means it HASN'T been tested by any laboratory. The manufacturer is simply putting a label on it. That label means it should meet European standards, and any manufacturer can simply put that label on their product. There are reputable companies we have come to know and trust that use the CE label on their products so it doesn't mean a product without the UL label is bad, I just wouldn't use some cheap Chinese product unless it has a proven track record.

THANK YOU for posting these videos featuring the HF Ti easy-flux. You gave me a good bit of confidence in the machine. I have been on the fence and then HF made it too easy with a 35% coupon. Being tax exempt, only $96 total. Sooo much easier to use than my OLD Lincoln.

Fluid Film. Stops rust, natural product (lanolin from wool) so it’s tool and skin friendly. I’ve put it on steel parts exposed to weather and so far it stopped rust, and lasted the mild winters out west here, so indoors, I’d imagine a once a year application.

It’s fine for small jobs and outdoors or in rusted metal but for production on heavy iron, I prefer dual shield.

Thats a great welder! I was on a job site I had a broke down JLG telehandler the front tie rod broke! So! No parts at the time so I went to harbor fright got this same welder and welded up the tie rod and added supports and it is still holding until the new tie rod gets here! Nice go kart build!

Why did u sell the Honda engine ? And buy a predator the same size ?
@-DIYPRO-4 күн бұрын
I would have kept the Honda any day over a predator but it came with a mini gear box attached to the output shaft and it was also a tapper shaft. It was going to be over $100 to convert it to what I needed.

Never ever ever leave the 10mm socket attached to the ratchet! You will lose both! The 10mm will take whatever it’s attached to to its place of freedom.

Ive got 6 machines ranging from Miller MIG to (super generic) BCP flux core with a Razorweld as my main stick machine. Honesty my Titanium MIG140 is my favorite wire machine not only for great operation but great portability being WAY lighter than the Miller. Ive taught several people how to weld and spent lots of time reciting all the points youve hit on here. Thanks for a really effective comparison video, you did a great job of explaining different features QUICKLY without bogging down into impertinent minutiae or being disparaging on any model. Ill be forwarding this link to all my past, current and upcoming welding students

I am very impressed with this very portable welder. It definitely welds up to 3/16 steel plate easily! The 1/16 rating via the store placard is very underrated! Rod size was up to 1/8 in diameter for 6013, 3/32 diameter rod for other rods such as 7014, 7018, 6011 or 6010. The arc is incredibly smooth and easy to strike!

Hey, if you can give me a direction to go or something. I bought a welder to keep in my garage just for emergency. Had it since June. It's one of the cheap gun looking ones. I have tried over and over and only got it to spark once. After getting new rods and trying one more time I called a busy who knows what he's doing.. he came over and the welder isn't working. This whole time I thought i just didn't know how to use it. Now I can't return it and I actually have an emergency. What could be wrong with it from the factory like that, the company won't do jack for me and again, got something I actually need it for.

I just put on the Blue Demon multi-pass… hard to feel the difference between it and the Lincoln wire I was using. It does feel like it goes on a bit smoother, but feels like there’s more splatter.. doesn’t matter though, most of it comes off with a steel brush on a drill. Honestly I may try the Lincoln wire again and see if I can feel the difference. This is all on a Century Fc 90. I wonder what it would be like on a higher-end flux-core machine?

You know if they just had that for like $120 plus you get the $30 discount if you're a member plus I know somebody that works there so I got mine 76$ but the part I don't understand is after watching video after video of people unboxing this welder when did they start taking the well wire out of the box? Everyone I see has wire I don't have no wire in it

Just about everything I've done with mine has been on 1/8in and it handles that beautifully. I don't use it often enough, so I have to do several practice passes before I do real work, though. Just a skill issue. Nothing against this machine.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these during one of Harbor Freights parking lot sales about 10 years ago for $20 cheaper. I've burned through several spools of wire, and it just keeps going. The mobility of it is also a massive convenience. I've used it on many jobsites off of a small Honda generator.
