People know that cigarettes are bad for them, yet they still smoke. People know that going to the gym is good for you, but most people rarely exercise. We know how dangerous heroin is, and yet...... Knowing about SR and the downside of PMO is not enough to get people to changer their habits. I vaguely knew about SR when I was in my late teens, but I didn't have the willpower or self-control to stop myself. Years and years went by and I had to hit a new low before I was open to trying SR. Hitting rock bottom was "the thing" that caused me to change and finally give SR a serious try. The combination of "pain" plus "knowledge" seem to be the best teachers in life.

@@Remember-Death people know cigarettes are bad for them. We didn’t know busting was bad for us. We thought life was busting on the baddest baddie and that was it. So it’s a big difference. I get your point, but most people are wasting away and have no idea. Ya rock bottom always helps, but my teenage years, and twenties would have been way different with some education about sr, and kundalini type stuff.

I used to drink and smoke and was addicted to internet porn. I kicked the drinking/smoking 2 months ago. I prayed and have been close to a month of hard mode abstinence. I thank my Almighty God that I'm still going strong and the porn habit is foreign to me now. I never thought it was possible as I've been an addict for years. The furthest I abstained was 1 week. But to now be reaching a month is a miracle. Praise be to God and Jesus Christ. I have a new mindset.

Our Lord says in the Bible, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better to enter into Heaven maimed than for the whole man to be thrown into hell. Anyone serious about getting over porn addiction and masturbation will cast off their phones and computers. Delete social media, get off KZbin, delete even KZbin, stay away from the screens and cut off the supply. Embrace being bored, getting screen withdrawals, and feeling uncomfortable. It's delusional to think that an internet porn addiction can be overcome spending time on the internet browsing for hours each day. Cut it all off and stop. For the majority of people it's obvious that No screen time translates into no porn.

I was beholden to lust, fornication, and pornography for decades. My body count was high for a man. (In double digits.) When I was bound by lust rational decisions went out the window and I was chasing the nearest tail. My journey away from lust and porn really began in earnest in 2010. I found a church that hit my sweet spot and began attending. One day I went down for prayer. I told the couple that prayed for me that I was hurting. The man prayed for me and the next thing I knew I was bawling for a good 20 minutes. It was from that point on that I began a journey of purity. There were a lot of struggles and bumps in the road. The toughest obstacle to overcome was masturbation. I'm at 137 days of semen retention and he is spot on about lust. Praise be to God that he has healed me in mind, body, soul, and spirit. Porn is no longer a stronghold, and I'm working with men to help them overcome lust and pornography.

If you can learn to masturbate everyday to reach orgasm without losing your spérms, you can retain your youthfulness yet at the same time achieving the stress free zen mode.
