This was the moment that finally spilled Negan's humanity out, i mean carl appealed to his soft side but it was when Carl died did his suppressed humanity crack and paved way for the Negan we know following the war

Carl had so much more potential I don't understand why they killed him off. Then in the next season they basically replaced his character with Judith

i feel like the writers kinda wasted some potential with this scene by cutting it too early seeing negan show some actual compassion for the firts time. like imagine what would happen if rick didnt say "the only future is the one where youre dead" and they kept going a little with the conversation, actually having rick talk to negan. this could have been the part where rick realized that maybe carl was right about negan, which would have led to him sparing negan later more realistic

Of all the dum things this show ever did, killing Carl was the worst
