Hi. On a G30 2.0D, i get 2BB400 Ista error code. Check engine on dof regen, regen succesfully, the car has no problem, but the check engine appears again after a new regen o dpf. Have an ideea witch sensor is the problem ?

Hi , what size is the spanner required ? cannot get mine out with a 13 or 14 mm, gonna wait until engine is hot ( may expand a little) and try again but don't want to round off the nut TIA

hi i have a e60 m47 . is this tempsensor responsible for weird backpressure values allready replaced the backpressure sensor ,the hose a new registerd accu and cleaned dpf and cat then reset it . still idle value acts weird. jumps sometimes triggering regen tot much.... what do you think

Hi, I had a similar problem. I changed the sensors. The problem remained. I wanted to save, I gave replacements, non - original parts. When I didn't know what to do with it, I exchanged it for the original ones (parts). Plus replace the engine thermostat (water). I cleared the errors in the control unit and there was a problem. My.

@@e60tube90 Try clearing all codes. Then take a short trip. Connect the PC and read the fault codes. But you must have the ISTA program, otherwise you will not solve the problem. These cars are very complicated (I mean BMW overall). An error code is not always the cause of a fault.

found the cullprit . wrong oil febi bilstein 5w30 longlife is not the correct oil . its not low ash oil . due febi insured it was . do not use regular synthetic oil even when it says bmw longlife 04 . its wrong and affects backpressure sensor ,dpf and cat by massive soot build up. wich causes frequent regens . bmw s specially e60 e90 with dpf needs castrol 5w30 m low ash oil or mpm dpf oil 5w30 with bmw longlife 04 specs. this counts fore every car with dpf fitted low ash oil only

Hello Dani, yes, the data was inaccurate, but the system did not report an error. If you have not changed the water thermostat, replace it. This is related to DPF regeneration. One of the symptoms of the fault was an increase in the oil level in the engine.

@@Face2Fox Hi, I'm sorry I had a popular C19 illness. I don't think that will be the only cause. Check contacts, cables. Replace the sensor, but use the original. If the engine still goes into an emergency, reconnect the diagnostics. Then see the individual data while the engine is running. Start at DDE Electronics.

It's not defect, any wheel larger than 19" on f01/02 with those damn run flats will do this when you drive through potholes. Solution is to get your wheels welded and change to normal tyres.

Hi Albert Wong, Thank you for your opinion. Yes, you are right. But in my case, I had classic tires and not a run flat. Even after welding, this problem appeared elsewhere. Probably bad production. Yes, I know there are these problems with disks larger than 19 inches.

Nice music!best thing is remove DPF this is the source of most issues with modern diesel!keep the DPF for MOT or TUV tests and remove again.

Yes, that's the solution too :) So far, after cleaning, driven 30,000 km and without problems. The most common problem where a DPF filter becomes clogged is a bad thermostat in combination with a DPF pressure gauge. Short rides are the second problem.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I did not write the error code, but the DPF was not regenerating, the filter was clogged. The DPF code was 245700. It's on F01, engine 3.0, diesel

@@ssaed9333 for you car I'm pretty sure that's normal because it has the DPF and the catalytic converter in the same case. But I think for the newer N47 is different.

Exhaust gas temperature before dpf must be great than 240 •C for regeneration. -40.5 •C means time to change egt sensor.
