I LOVED the music for the original Guild Wars. I backed the "The Northerner" campaign. He was a famous artist and very involved in promoting the campaign (Which sadly stopped right after he got the money). On top of that, this wasn't a campaign run by the artist alone. It was being run by his agent so they would keep him on track if he strayed! What could go wrong? I am happy to say that I am one of the very few that got _a portion_ of my money back. Do I still like the music? Yes I do - but I'm no longer a fan of the artist. It's a little like a movie / TV star that played iconic roles but then was later revealed to have done / been accused of some terrible stuff (Bill Cosby, Tom Hanks, ...). I was a backer for the kickstarter although I had to beg Max Steiner to let me donate as I had missed the deadline by a day or two. Once it was clear that it wasn't going to get made I had made requests for Max Steiner and the woman, Gloria, to refund my money (I had receipts and everything). Max Steiner pointed me towards and email address affiliated the kickstarter and have never heard anything back. Definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. I'm surprised there has not been a lawsuit given the amount of money and no accountability.

I am very conflicted. A part of me really really really wants Jeremy to compose for TES VI. The OST for Skyrim is hands down my favorite OST. But on the other hand, if these accusations are true.....

The 10th anniversary concert was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices and the entire concert was EPIC. It's amazing that it was transcribed and rearranged simply for the performance. That's no small feat and it is a testament to the level of professionalism and skill it took by the musicians put on that performance. It's such a shame that such a talented composer like Jeremy Solue went down the path he did. Even the darkest souls can produce some of the most beautiful things to society. Jeremy Soule is The Elder Scrolls, as the IP would be nothing without his magical compositions. IMHO Auriel's Ascension is about as perfect as a piece of work can possibly get.

We've had to put up with a lot of crappy things in our lifetime, more so nowadays, but finding out this guy was a shitlord really hurts.

It is sure important to be aware of all of this. However, I personally will not let this knowledge get inbetween me and these wonderful pieces of art. For me, art becomes idipendent from its creator, the moment when somebody interacts with it and has his own connection to it. Everyone builts a special unique way towards art and because of this unique nature of it, it becomes independent from everything else.

I have CD soundtracks for some of his earlier games, Giants Citizen Kabuto and Icewind Dale Also, one of his earliest works I remember is Total Annihilation.

Personally I'm totally indifferent towards what he has or hasn't done as an individual. In my opinion art and the artist should have enough seperation that you can enjoy the art of an artist you don't like on a personal level. The art should resonate with your personal connect on to it than anything else.

I think I can understand where he comes from about the music industry being squeezed by business people. The other cases seem to be classic antics of a cantankerous artist. It’s not uncommon for artists to lose control of common sense and it’s easy to imagine his personal life and then career spiraling out of control.

Took a break from playing for like 2 years came back paid the $40 for Gold Road and stop playing after a week. The game has become a snooze fest and the developers are too lazy on making this game much better. Last time I had fun in this game was when Summerset was released. One of the MMO's that I literally fall asleep questing.

I don't understand why zenimax do not put a website or an online interface to buy/sell crowns with ingame currency. Some games do that, they have a currency you can use to buy monthly or year susbscription to play the game further with your ingame currency, not a credit card (even some do that to get the currency in question). The platform is directly connected to your ingame bank and you select how much currency you want, then you buy, it's instant credit, you buy a pack online or a subscription giving more map access to the game or you keep to resell higher to et more ingame bank currency. Some people even play game like that to have a billionary bank account on a main character by moving from a server to another. That's the principe of a national bank, the company game can inject this currency to a price, and people then buy it or not, this game do have a market graph to follow the hourly rate
