And of now, they used the 1971 PBS logo for this new channel called PBS Retro on both Roku Channel and Freevee. As you known, PBS Retro has all of the classic educational and kids shows like “Reading Rainbow”, “Mr. Rogers Neighborhood”, “Thomas & Friends” and more. And on every single show, the 1971 PBS logo did appeared at the beginning of every program including “Thomas & Friends: Making Tracks For Great Destinations”.

Fred rogers died in 2003, it was just his show that ended in 2001. Even after Fred roger's death in 2003, PBS kids reran mister rogers neighborhood episodes

Excellent vintage PBS promos from 1972!! But still can't figure it out which date my local PBS station KPBS San Diego conducted pledge nights throughout 1972!!

I agree, seeing the 1970's P-head meeting a female P-head would be a nice touch for valentines day! Why couldn't they bring the pink P-head back - but updated?

I have named the scary nostalgia feeling. The word for this is "Dorty". Example: "the 70's PBS logo was very dorty, it made me scared.".
