That was my 7th 50 and the look on yr face as u went up fm Mardale said it all the complete rawness of nature well done for completing and role on September 1st and we go for it again 😂

Thanks Kev, I'm only new to ultras, but enjoy the pain that comes with it. Since picking up trail running, I've done it in all weathers and have to admit that if the weather is not borderline awful, it's not fun. I'm signing up for next year again, Yeeha!

@@superplesu Nice one role on September then all the fun starts before I do the Lakeland 50 I have 4 50 milers and a 100 miler to do, it’s my first major attempt at a 100 miler and thankfully it’s nothing like the Lakeland 100 but still it’s going to be hard work 🥳😁

@@superplesu Not really a machine more of a plodder but just setting myself a challenge plus I have paid for a t-shirt for the 100 so have to complete it just for that alone 🤣🤣 good luck with yr goals and all going well we will both be at the next Lakeland 50 😁

Go for it, just book it and once it's booked, you have to commit. It's the best race I done so far.

My pleasure mate, unfortunately my missus sabotaged me and the go pro was left on the living room table, so i had to do it with the phone. Next year, I'll pack everything myself. It was a bit ropey on the first 2 climbs, nearly got my teeth taken out by one of the gates as it got caught up by a strong gust. Wouldn't change a thing though.

Thanks, it was an amazing adventure. It was my first Ultramarathon- well, I had my 4 pegged partner in running with me, which made a great difference

Took a wrong turn onto the bridle way yesterday. Big mistake after the rains we had recently. Was a good run though.

Every mistake takes you on a new path. I've been exploring the area quite a lot. The bridleway goes a long way and if you get a chance to go to the golf side on the track, past the stables, it gives you a half trail marathon of you put your mind to it. It's my favourite place for quick runs
