According to a couple of interviews she has done, she spent time in rural Mexico apprenticing at a chapel dedicated to Santisima Muerte. The people who helped train her included practitioners of curanderisimo and brujeria. She came across as sincere to me. Do with that what you will.

That’s the reason I started doing book reviews. To show the content list & talk about what the book was like. The good, the bad & the ugly lol. My hope is that they help others have an idea of what’s inside the book & what it talks about before they buy it so they don’t waste their time & money.

I was employed to remove this spirit, as it was causing a lot of problems & being harmful. The spirit was not a ghost, it was a parasite, feeding on my clients partner & causing her great distress & harm. The parasite was not harmed in the removal process & is actually now very happy with a new food supply that won’t cause any harm. I am not in the business of harming creatures, an you should not be so quick to judge. Next time be respectful with your questions.

@@TheCityWitchUK Have not been reading, only collecting many books over a number of years with the hope of being inspired to read at some point and yesterday was that start with reading, beginning after this review, so yes this book review has very much helped. After ordering the Hecateus Apuliensis book plus Titans and Olympians you mentioned in the review, I had a look on my shelf for any books with Hekate in the title and found?? KEEPING HER KEYS Cyndi Brannen, also have Her, Entering Hekates Garden. Will start with the KEYS, a year and a day deal, with dark moon/new moon as the suggested start for the course. Very impressed with the writing and info at beginning but will not read this book beyond introductions until the first cycle arrives. Have also put on the tentative wish list, Hekate Liminal Rites, Sortia d Este & Divid Rankine. Those 2x Cyndi Brannen books mentioned are the only Hekate specifically related in title books in my collection of books, I have an inkling that my numerous other books will become reference material that will serve a, new to me, Hekate-driven practice and curiosity. Will take a look at your other review content. Thanks Again.

The Keys book is my first exposure with Hekate, I have read only up to page eight, will continue from page eight on 3rd Sept. My experience with the book so far is Its suiting me perfectly, as someone needing to walk into this slowly taking this one it as it comes. Re: the guide book, Oracle Decks/Tarot cards, can be used as astral doorways, and also in ritual not just for divination. Has it not occurred to you to perhaps meditate or do your own research if your interested in the imagery but are not sure what it means fully? Or perhaps pick a few key cards that you want to learn about and put them up on your altar for a few days see what impressions you get. If the art work doesn't appeal fair enough. But the author has supplied plenty of information in the cards imho.
@TheCityWitchUK
@TheCityWitchUK Ай бұрын
@redstar7292 First of all, yes it’s occurred to many people to meditate & use cards for all sorts of other purposes other than for divination. I use them for spell work all the time for example & when conducting mindful walks, contemplating the meaning of each card I pull. So who exactly are you talking to here? Because your comment comes across as needlessly aggressive.

I haven't had a job for a long time and yesterday there was an offer... at the cemetery cemetery caretaker and cellar builder I don't know if it's a good choice, I have to think about it and I don't have much time, a quick decision I'm stressed, okay, I'm going for a walk to new places somewhere I've never been in my life so I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm admiring new landscapes ;) and here is an old mill falling apart, black boards, etc I get closer and what do I see? large notices posted on the almost entire wall, "Gabriel Funeral Home" XD okay, it's cool, accidents happen, we breathe, we don't get angry :D I drove onto a dirt path, on a hill, high ground huge grain fields and I'm walking with my bike, suddenly a quest comes into my path and gets in my way :> Who? praying mantis :D and a moment ago there was an advertisement for a funeral home, you know, at funerals people pray for the dead like... praying mantises ok, I'll move on XD I found some blueish flints and took them home :> in return, of course, I burned incense because I took it with me, I don't know why, instinctively I walked around, smoked incense and returned home along the same path suddenly something ran far away, something brown, maybe a young deer, a fox, I don't know I stopped for a moment and continued walking, but here I was on the path where the praying mantis had just been, and nothing else on the same path now I see that there is a feather... of a hawk or a falcon :> but most likely a long-eared owl and on the road, when I was almost home, a black cat came out of the bushes under the cross didn't see me,when I stopped, he looked at me and ran back to the cross A few weeks earlier I was reading a book about La Santa Muerte and wondered if this was the right deity for me I thought probably not, due to Her possessiveness and jealousy a few hours later, postman visited us with a parcel from the USA and in it I found chocolates in decorative wrappers with pictures of Mexican skulls now a job offer at the cemetery Are these signs or just coincidences? ps.in the morning when I asked myself whether I should work in the cemetery at the same moment a moth appeared in front of me Job starting day is July 9 9th digit is associated with death and the 7th looks like a scythe

I would say that she is reminding you that she is interested in working With you but the choice is yours. She will never force her way into your life & she will wait for an answer for as long as you need to think about it. It took me a year of her asking before I finally said yes. She is patient & kind. She has time & isn’t worried about being rushed. Death after all has plenty of time & isn’t in a rush for anyone. Yes she is territorial & needs her space but that doesn’t mean you can’t work with other spirits. It just means you have to honour her separately & make sure she has her own alter that is far away from all others.

I feel completely confused and torn... the biggest problem is finding an allied psychopomp in order to eliminate family curse which makes it difficult to find the psychopomp, a vicious circle
@TheCityWitchUK
@TheCityWitchUK 2 ай бұрын
There are plenty of spirits & deities that you can work with for curse breaking that are not psychopomps. You don’t have to choose those types specifically. And if you are struggling to find the right one to work with then it might be because you are looking for one to hard & it’s blocking you. Instead try to relax & let the right one naturally reveal themselves to you. You could put out a call to the universe, asking to be guided to the right spirit ally that dan help you break a curse. Then wait to see who answers the call.
@kukumuniu5658
@kukumuniu5658 2 ай бұрын
I am afraid that the first who respond will be the beings that I have in my house, harmful and malicious, inhuman, present due to the curse that is the result of it. It's a bit like calling for help in prison, the guards are the first to respond :(
@TheCityWitchUK
@TheCityWitchUK 2 ай бұрын
@kukumuniu5658 your call can be limited to your spirit team, ancestors & angels if you include that in the petition. You also need to trust your power more or it won’t work. Belief in yourself is important for any magical working to actually work.
