I really wish I watched this video or even thought of looking this up before I had to do what I had to do and now I feel so horrible that I could have saved its life. I put sticky traps out for spiders when I woke up one morning and there was a mouse stuck on one I didn't know this person had mice and I didn't know what to do I didn't want to throw it away and it suffer for 4 days says they can last two to four days without food so I didn't want to throw it in the garbage like that so I turn the stinky trap upside down and I drowned it when I could have literally released it and saved its life I couldn't sleep the whole night I bawled my eyes out and now I feel even worse

Ya know, I find this a little disheartening. I was raised in the DMV and moved away, then just moved back and I think you are right about some things but some of your points are symptomatic of where you live/work/hang out perhaps. If you are from the fancy parts of town like Potomac, BCC, NW DC, Arlington, then yeah, I can see what you are saying, but there are real spots with genuine culture in some of the less fancy parts. Additionally, I think if you live along the Baltimore/Washington corridor it's great because you have two totally different cities, with different vibes, art, music, etc. The "what do you do, what school did you go to" thing is real and it's unfortunate. I think it probably began because there is such a transient population every election cycle, but now has morphed into classist nonsense. But the access to beautiful beaches a couple hours away, great camping in Appalachia a couple hours away, 3 international airports, every major music act and show comes through, the recently vastly improved food scene, all make it a pretty good spot to live (Maybe not for a woman in her 20's who is looking for clubs, and to outnumber men). I'm not saying there aren't better spots, I'd love to live in Santa Barbara but that's not my journey for now. My point is, a lot of people talk badly about DC...while continuing to live here, just saying:)

Thank you so much for making the video. I used olive oil but my glue trap was oversized and it took a lot of effort to release the little mouse as it was really stuck. I realized that if this method is used to get the appropriate size.

I just did this using olive oil and it worked so fast! Thanks! I'd recommend doing this out in the area you want to release the mouse because it didn't take much for the glue to loosen
