I just took the ACT today. I studied every day the past week from 4-10pm and took like 15 practice tests and I still probably didn't crack a 30 bruh

Interesting approach! I've been "coaching" my son for the ACT later this month. He's a high school sophomore and this will be his first time taking it. Anyway, we started prepping back in June and I can see what you mean about "burn out". But, he's also walking into it with the mindset that this is his first time taking it, not his last. The study he has been doing has been to lay the groundwork, the foundation on which we'll build for future attempts. So he'll take it this time, then we'll forget about it until spring. At that point, we may just go with your advice, studying only 2 subjects intensively, taking the exam, then studying the other 2 for an exam taken only 2 months later. I definitely get what you're saying about spreading yourself thin when tackling all four at once (like we've been doing) and this seems like it maybe a good solution, especially after the foundation is there and we're looking for improvement, not perfection the first time. Anyway, keep up the great videos! I always look forward to them. Cheers!

Actually NOT all the same question types… English is changing some questions to stem questions and adding an argumentative passage. This has been released.

What would you recommend for someone with not much time to study for the ACT. I'm taking the ACT in about a month and 1/2 but I'm not really sure what the best way to study for it would be. I've heard you talk lots about finding patterns in questions but I'm still not too sure how I would do that. Thank you so much for these videos, they are helping out a TON.

Thank you so much for these insightful videos! Because ACT took down many free practice tests, where can we find a plethora of specific question types, such as long, abstract math word problems or yes-yes no-no questions, for our weaknesses?

Any tips on how to reduce careless mistakes. I feel as now the only reason I get questions wrong is because I make careless mistakes like 6/2=4 or not realizing there’s a comma in an answer section or circling A when I thought B was the correct answer.

Hi , im resitting the ACT in September and need to increase my 34 math score to a 36 to reach my target composite , idiot careless mistakes cost me this score and no matter how many tests I do or reduce my pace , I always miss 5 ish questions that I immediately understand after reviewing and they are randomly distributed between the start and end of the test. It is very beyond me what is causing this , would appreacite any advice.
@CarsonWeekley2 ай бұрын
Congrats on the great score! Is there something that makes you think that moving from a 34 to a 36 on math will significantly change your outcome on college applications?

May God abundantly bless you with a deluge of joyous blessings!!! I've seen many of your videos, and I love the way you teach studying for the ACT. A consistent theme of your ACT videos is you strongly encourage students to take full length practice tests in identical conditions to the real test, grade his/her practice tests, look at the explanations for his/her wrong answers, categorize the questions he/she is seemingly, perpetually missing (weaknesses) into "question types," and most importantly discipline him/herself to consistently practice his/her weaknesses to transform them into strengths. I love this approach and apply it in many tasks of life; however, I cannot get my hands on many of these questions types because the ACT did a cease and desist for people providing full-length, genuine ACT practice tests. I've tried to search for the questions I have a seeming weakness on, but I can't get a sufficient amount to reach my goal of tremendously dramatic improvement. If the only option is to buy full length practice tests from a tutor or another avenue, then I might have to do that; however, I strongly desired to get free resources outside of the official ACT prep book I've purchased. Whatever happens and even if you can't respond, I trust my Heavenly Father's will to be done and not my own, and I immensely thank you for your commitment to drastically improve students' ACT scores to get into their dream colleges with an abundance of scholarships!

Hey Carson, I wanted to say thanks so much for your wonderful content! I got a 33 on the act two different times and thought I couldn't improve, but I implemented a multitude of your tips from section specific tips and general tips where a month leading up to the test I took many full length practice tests (6 I think), and was able to recently receive a 35! Once again thanks so much for the help, and wishing you all of the best!

But a 30 was not her full potential, so she did "ACT Hacking" to get her highest score. From this we can learn that even if we have a 22 or 25 on the ACT, we can do this method of studying and you can even get a 36 if you understand the test properly.

And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:16 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. - Acts 3:19 If you are in North America, please go check out any of the churches available to you: PCA, OPC, Rpcna, Urcna, or a canrc church (These are conservative and actual Reformed/Presbyterian churches.) If you’re Scottish, I recommend the Free Church of Scotland and the APC. (Different from the Church of Scotland) If you’re English I recommend the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England & Wales and the Free Church of England (Different from the Church of England) Also online you can look up church finders for each of the groups, it will show you locations And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. -Hebrews 10:24-25
