I would say inspired by Pricilla Queen of the Desert. This is an original South African movie with a completely different story line. As an identical twin that has lost my twin sister I found the story line very moving and the scenery just beautiful. Well done David Moore and all involved.

I found this video quite by chance when I was looking for some info on the town on UTube. I was born and raised in Upington and this well made video really tugged at my heart strings. As a child, Dawie Malan, a famous actor who has since died, was one of my best friends. He was famously gay. I know the Upington community and I know how hard it must be for these people. I wish them only the best and I hope they never allow society to kill that softness in them. As the song says in the video: this is YOUR life :-)
