how do you keep the bristles from spreading

Always make sure to cure for a full 60 seconds after each gel application. Additionally, to help ensure no chipping, apply topcoat to sidewalls and free edge of the tip using a thin layer.

Did you do base coat or matte gel before drawing the french? I always get the gel to run and smile line doesnt look crisp

Nothing is added to the surface of the enhancement before the French. Making sure the nail is cleansed, gel polish is mixed and the surface is smoothly buffed will help.
