As many people have pointed out, Cloud's mannerisms and way of talking during this flashback are completely incompatible with his personality. Even the head scratch he does at times is totally a Zack thing. The VA also did a great job in capturing Zack's "puppy" personality.

What amazes me in this demo is ff 7 isn't just more bigger and open in terms of area or the world, the combat is also greatly expanded and more open this time. There's so many things to use and so many different abilities properties, synergies mechanics, enemies mechanic it blows my mind.

I think the coldest part about this scene is this was the one time Jak took someone out and it felt personal. Every other time, the world was at stake and although his enemies deserved it, he only ever did it out of necessity for the planets survival. This time around it was purely because Mizo tried to cheat him and his friends out of their lives.

Cloud didn't really have Sephiroth as a mentor. The "Cloud" shown here is actually Zack. And if anyone, Zack himself was Cloud's mentor.
