Maybe 1M gil per hour at best. You won't really need to farm gil until after you've unlocked Holy Tonberry on Mission 9-6-2, which you can steal 4x Gold Rolling Pins(200,000 Gil) from. Gil just isn't that scarce in this game until you fight Minerva with Gil Toss. If you find yourself low on gil before you are ready for Holy Tonberry, run Mogs Amulet for rare drops to sell and just play some missions. Whatever you are trying to buy, I'm sure you'll be able to afford it.

So i personally have the SoD but! I think the weapon you can choose should do decent damage against bosses. That means: your main weapon should be focused on one or a small group of enemys (thats the reason i personally love the SoD) The light chaser thonis a great crowd control weapon but doesnt have alot of potential against bosses (because it has a large range) if i couldn't choose one of those 2, i would go for the kunai bc thats the second best boss killer in the game. So in the end i think the upgrades you get while battle are for crowd control (guardian, force field, lightning bolt, laser etc.) and the chooseable weapon is against bosses so id say that a chooseable weapon for bosses doesnt make too much sense. So I have a fully leveled void. Red with all the forging unlocked. It’s awesome. But struggles against bosses IF you have a time limit. Because you can’t always be facing the boss. So the time is repositioning is lost damage that adds up. Otherwise I would say the void is the best weapon, especially in lat chapter mobs. Especially fun when you can make the bubble consume like 70% of the entire screen and consume the entire map!
