I saw an actress from Big Bang Theory mention how to quickly learn lines Is there some formula to that

At 4:37 you have the scene and as the actors exchange dialogue there is an indication👉 changed line What does that mean. What line is changing

Hi, indeed. Google keeps increasing the required SDK level, so we have to keep re-releasing the app without necessarily changing anything. It has become a gripe for many developers. There will be an update within the next week.

“You have to approve it” - the sad robot voice 😂
@HollywoodCameraWorkАй бұрын
If this is about approving moving a block, it's because randomly moving blocks around will impact the sequence of events, because all the events get threaded into beats existing at the same place on the timeline where the block is dropped. So it's potentially destructive, and needs approval by design.

@@KittyBGaming Hi, by robot, do you mean my voice?
@KittyBGamingАй бұрын
@@HollywoodCameraWork yes 😊 very silly on how the sentence was said. It’s supposed to be a compliment, if you didn’t realize 😅. I seriously didn’t mean anything bad Edit: the reason I thought it was spoken by a robot is because there’s no highs or lows, like excitement or stuff. It makes that slight sad tone funnier because it’s like a plot twist! Not expected, making it better. There’s also awkward stops and moments of silence.

For probably 4 or 5 years now, Every day I learn something new from causality. Really awesome and best thought of writer software. I have severe ADHD and the visual part is vital for me, this allowed to stay clear of 100 post-its permanently changing in my whiteboard, only to miss all of them and start writing from my head and getting lost in the story again. Thank you for this software. Is there a new version coming? I can also see how this, paired with AI (not for creativity, necessarily, because I know all of us who have been writing for years and are old-school are pretty much, 'reluctant' to say the least, to the "everyone can be a writer now just with 1 prompt", but for asking the screenplay like you can in any pdf file now, pretty much to "chat" with your screenplay and even to read it now that there's technology like elevenlabs - a lot more. Again, thank you for this beauty of software. Wishing you the best.

Thanks! Yes, emotion tracking is releasing soon, which is a magic bullet for storytelling. About AI, we're only interested in rewriting, as well as generating beats from all the surrounding data we have, such as knowing the storylines. With emotion tracking, the app knows where we are in a particular storyline, which is the kind of knowledge we inject into the AI. AI is only a decent writer when it's on tight guiderails.

There is a TON coming, next Emotion Tracking and then sync/collaboration. We've had to invest about a year in a core refactor to align the app with collaboration, which involved pulling up part of the foundation. It was necessary, but took a frustrating amount of time.

I bought this course last year and still getting through it. I must say though: I think what he (Per Holmes) is saying is legit and works. Though I need time to test it out on my own work in future. It is alot to get through and the chapters are dense full of information. I feel exhausted after every chapter and want to relax elsewhere. HCW: Well done on creating the course, I'll be sure to use it.

Hi, it sounds like you purchased on mobile and want to use it on desktop. You need to create an HCW account and then sign in to the mobile app for us to hear about the purchase for the first time. Neither Apple or Google shares any information about purchases, so you have to do the linking yourself by signing in. Then you should see the mobile purchase under Orders. The app should walk you through the same steps when you select the Desktop Version option.

Been searching for a piece of software to plot out a novel and having come from a TV production background this seem to tick all the boxes for a lot of met work. I have looked at Plottr, Scrivener and others but the visual approach and ability to develop tight, interwoven narratives are very appealing. My only concern is that there hasn't been any announcements or videos for a couple of years and the forum is pretty quiet. Is this still in active development and is it worth investing time and money to learn?
@HollywoodCameraWork4 ай бұрын
Hi, yes, it's in very active development, but we're spent 1 1/2 years clearing out some technical debt that was preventing collaboration. There's only one feature to come before collaboration, which is Emotion Tracking, which should release within a month. The forum is new, because we abandoned vBulletin and couldn't take our history with us, but it's not very active. People tend to email. I'm not convinced people know the forum is there.

furry road i disagree, movement in a long dialogue scene depends on the focus. if you want to detect the slightest emotion shift you want zero motion except the face of the actor

Except that those dialogue scenes are always teetering on the edge of dead air. It's very hard to make them work in editing unless the actors are spectacular, with an amazing script and all the stars aligned.

I don't know if the same crew from this mad max is involved with the new mad max coming out soon but they do the same moves in the trailer. I had to download and cut that section for reference. the way they did is is dynamic. character chases another as camera is sympathetic,. Chaser falls down allowing camera to catch up with Chaser then bike comes from behind passing camera. simple sympathetic move but still so dynamic

Hi, this video summarizes everything that's new in 3.0. We've been holding off on new videos because emotion tracking is coming soon, which requires redoing all videos, so the effort would be wasted right now. Besides that, we now clearly know what matters most to people, primarily collaboration, which requires some big changes that preclude incremental updates. I has taken forever, and is frustrating for us as well, but it's the right thing to do, and will get Causality where it needs to be.
He's back. So many irrelevant videos from the KZbin cinema culture about camera moves. I can attest that Hollywood camera work is the only one u need!! Stepped up my visual IQ tremendously!!

Hi Per, Amazing Job!!! one question....is it possible to upload pre-written notes from google docs for examples? Thank you!
@HollywoodCameraWork8 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks! What is the goal of the inputting the notes? Is it for them to become individual beats? Or appear as a list of notes in research? Or become briefly written scenes?
@jonathanbellaluto14918 ай бұрын
@@HollywoodCameraWork I was thinking like this (maybe I might be wrong) once I uploaded my pre written stuff it kind of recognised the form and beats( that's my dream scenario) but otherwise is it possible to upload those files on that software and from there to structure it? Thank you
@HollywoodCameraWork8 ай бұрын
@@jonathanbellaluto1491 Hi, it still depends on what the text is intended to become in Causality. Is the text script fragments or beats? Or just random scribblings that don't qualify yet as script snippets? If the text is script fragments, then the easiest way to get it structured is to save it as a text file with the .fountain extension, and then put scene headings into the text. Search for "fountain file format" on Google. This is a plain text script format that looks and feels like a script. If you add scene headings to it, we'll break it up correctly when you import as Fountain.
