Always keep separate accounts where your paycheck is deposited into and then move money to the joint account for household expenses. Never give your spouse the temptations to control you financially. Money ruins more marriages than anything else and having only a joint bank account just accelerates this. If you are middle class or poor most of your money will be moved into the joint account each money anyways but you retain the freedom to buy gifts and save for hobbies without your spouse exerting control. Retaining individual accounts helps to teach people to save and be thrifty for things they want. Once everything comes from a single account then my new laptop may not actually be 100% of my contribution and then that person looses the joy of saving for something they want.

I'm not having a wedding because well, I'm 13! I wanted to see if any of these tips could help me with my quinceanera because my mom is a single mom of 5, and being the only girl out of those 5 children meant I can't ask an older sister to help me out and we have a very tight budget considering my mom doesn't make much. This really helped me out because quinceanera's tend to be minimum of 5k, the dress and venue being a really big part of why it's so expensive. Thank you so much and great video!

I never though of even doing in my home I only got a 1 bedroom home we got a medium front room I going to take to my partner when he get home if we sort the flat our and get the carpet we could party at the flat and this would mean we could have our dream party for our wedding maybe I will do the balloon arches and all the balloons myself to save money as I know how to do a balloon arch

I've been getting depressed and stressed over how much things cost as I'm trying to plan a beautiful wedding. It's felt like so many doors are closed to us because of our budget, which is actually much higher than $1K. Prices are just outrageous! I want the food to be BOMB too, it's a big priority and I have trouble trusting a caterer I can afford to deliver that. Home cooking is the way to go! Y'all are a sweet couple. Be blessed.
