I keep getting matched against hero rank players which is really weird

I thought I’d share a tip from a Discord user: You need to be okay with abandoning the hill if things get too chaotic. If you got Bipbaps approaching, leave the hill to get a better angle. Survival is more important than scoring the hill sometimes.

Is this the biggest cap? I was a console player from 2000 to 2017. Ive been a diamond halo player that never tried any harder on console and then onto pc. Ive been harrassed flamed and team killed so hard in ranked. I think ive had 2 positive experinces in all of halo infinite.

I haven't touched the legendary difficulty of gruntapocalypse at all. After seeing this, i might consider trying..

If you are good at the game and have great aim and are good with every weapon, play Husky raid. I get 40-70 kills a game in a good day and get hella points in quick 10-15 minute games

you were suppose to show the amount of xp you earn and then do an analysis from there, firefight logistically is the fastest way but choose the difficulty that matches your skill otherwise you’ll be wasting time.

I just switched back to controller. I like MNK better but I found that my gameplay/movement on kb was too fast for my own good. 20 years of halo and them getting basically free movement, alot of my timing was off. ie throwing nades to fast, sprinting into bad situations, etc

I normally get really bad or toxic teammates but came across a squad of 3 high level Onyx players and they are so chill, I didn’t initially notice I ranked up. Lol. Great video! This reminds me of Breakout from the old Halo 5 days.

Roughly 6 months fairly consistent but casual grinding firefight. With the infinite ammo fiesta modes now it could probably be done quicker. Gruntpocalypse has guaranteed skulls/score bonuses, whereas regular firefight only grants skulls when rounds are beaten without anyone dying. Driving the warthog is a good way to bash more xp if you keep it on the hill, assists are worth more than kills in gruntpoc mode. Destroying phantoms and enemy vehicles gives some bonus xp but you’ll often find the entire team fighting for phantom kills. Grab a precision weapon and rockets,, camp the hill, revive team mates, etc. if you can make it fun, the grind to hero flies by

I found Gruntpocalypse: Fiesta to be the absolute easiest. It gives Infinite ammo and since it’s BR starts it’s easy to just one shot heads non stop. If you get Rockets or Cindershot it’s even easier. It’s so easy that it’s mind numbing. The mind numbing aspect is what makes it hard to keep grinding.

Onyx Master Sergeant Grade 3 here. I regularly play Heroic for the bonus score. If you play in Fiesta (for the infinite ammo obviously), you’ll also want to hold onto Rockets/Cindershots, or the Calcine Disruptor from Bipbap if the others aren’t available. Focus on “Phantom Destroyed” kills. You don’t have to actually destroy it, just knock it into doomsday. Other players will try to destroy Phantoms too, so make sure to time your shots to yoink those 100 credits. Some high rank players may get mad at you, but it’s par for the course. Other than that, memorize spawn patterns as best as possible. Stay vigilant, spartans! 🫡

Does 3p firefight have a bonus or nah?

gotta be real, with how good aim assist in in infinite i heavily disagree with the mnk thing. i have like 1000 hours in the game with like a 35% 65% split mostly controller (im a mainly kbm player on all other games) and i am either just as good or better on controller because infinite has a ridiculous amount of aim assist. kbm is good but in infinite aim assist basically nullifies its advantages if you use aim accel and other things to your advantage.

If you play the Fiesta mode you get infinite ammo

ive been trying controller. I main MnK. When I'm on controller it feels like my neck is in a brace. You have to play different. I've seen pros with insane movement on controller... so it is possible. I'm just not "in control" as you say.

Definitely agree with your take on using a controller. Idk what 343 did but it somehow feels too slow and too twitchy at the same time. I've finally found some settings that work for me but it required way too much effort.

what helps me alot with mnk is having a high sense. they both get aim assist so as long as u can move your mouse slow with a high sense the aim magnetize works perfectly

also its alittle faster if you join a random custom game and leave that fixes anti cheat aswell

You always have infinite ammo in Fiesta. Just uncheck every non-Fiesta mode, grab a BR, and you’re set. Cindershots and rockets are cool, but BR is king. Gruntpocalypse is the fastest and most consistent - the key there is to grab an Unbound Plasma Pistol from a Briglard (Grunt Mule) sometime before Round 5 so you can shred the ridiculous shields on the boss grunts. Easy peasy.

Just a heads up, Heroic Firefight provides a x1.15 XP boost and Legendary Firefight provides a x1.25 XP boost. Legendary Firefight is great because you can easily reach 5000+ score but earn closer to 6200-7000+ XP instead because of the boost, especially on Legendary Gruntpocalypse. Normal Firefight does not provide an XP boost in comparison. Additionally, BTB has a x1.8 XP boost, which is also great because you can earn 5000+ XP from about 2800 score, which is pretty easy in BTB. As an Onyx Corporal, my recommendation would be legendary firefight or BTB to rank up quickly :)

Just got back into playing Halo after I realized online is free. I started doing this on regular Firefight and was instinctively chilling on the hill for the points. Glad to know there is an even faster way to level up. Great video chief, keep it up

I've been actually only playing Firefight on infinite so much, and i didn't know that was the fastest way to get score 🥹

I actually find infinite easier with KBM, i've played it on controller also but I find this game to be very hit-scan compared to older halo titles so the snappy aiming of a mouse is better here. That being said I sometimes keep my controller to hand when playing halo, I mostly use it for vehicles. I hate how vehicles in halo work on KBM
