Man think i would of wanted a little more blade then that 7 inch kabar you were totin. It got the job done but i think a 10 to 12 inch blade would of been better suited.

She was quartered to you more then you thought hell more then I thought watching the first time. (So I would have made the same mistake.) But after 3 or 4 replays she is just just more turned and the shot needed to be further forward. I'm sure she's down just need to give her time to die, which I'm sure you did.

13 to go and I'll have 400 whitetails with a compound. SO...what broadhead were you using? Was it RAZOR sharp. (don't say yes because it was new, because plenty of new heads come dull), Mechs tend to deflect more than COC. But I'm guessing lung/diaphram/gut exit? Back of rt lung? I've seen this a bunch!

It helps to have razor sharp broadheads but doesnt always matter. Deer are resilient. 500 kills wouldnt change that. Quartering too played a bigger role than how sharp it was. All I got from this was youre a know it all. But im probably in the low 100's wtf would I know.

Theres a study that shows that during coyote denning season 1 female coyote will kill an average of 19 fawns during the time so killing that one coyote it potentially makes it so you could have 19 more deer in the area

Your broadheads are dull! I'm not here to debate the fact I'm stating it. I shoot QAD Exodus that i make sure are sharp. That was double lung hit and a SHARP head would have put her down in 50yds or less!

Something deflected. The knock looked perfect. I will say a deer even shot good will not die as fast as one that takes off due to the heart isn't pumping as hard. I also believe when a deer is stopped once shot and then takes off running into everything is due to blood pressure loss which scares the deer due to what it's feeling. Ive seen them run a short distance and stop, then flip out and crash into everything.

Notice it stopped and was hunched up tail tucked? That is typically gut punches. That deer died somewhere between 24 to 48 hours and I'll almost bet he didn't try that hard to find her. I'd of spent 3 days minimum tracking her probably would of called a dog in 12 hours after the shot of I had the video. And any time a deer stop I Nock another arrow be sure if I get 2 chances I'm taking them

Need 3 antlers to make realistic sound. I never got to use mine the first time I went out.... A small 8 point came in under my stand and was smelling my rattle chandelier while it was sitting on the ground LoL. He hung out about 10 minutes!!
