I started WGU right after high school. I got my bachelor's in elementary education in April of 24 from WGU. Easily one of the best moments of my life! I learned so much from their courses and from student teaching. One of the greatest things that I love about WGU is how community oriented they are. I always had support from them and they wanted me to succeed. It's because of their support and their amazing courses that helped me succeed in getting my first teaching job. WGU is absolutely worth it!

I got my bachelor's in education and two master's in education as well, all from WGU. I would say that the most important thing that helped me get a job was networking. While I was completing my degrees I worked as a paraprofessional, and when I was ready for a new job I had several teachers and admins willing to support me and give me letters of reference.

I got my masters in educational studies from WGU and it really was life changing. I had started out in the MATELED program (MA in Teaching Elementary Education), but life got in the way and I was unable to complete the last requirement. However, I was able to get a teaching license in my state anyway (provisional) and will be eligible for my permanent (professional) license at the end of this school year. I learned a good amount during my program, and now have my dream job. WGU was 100% worth it for me!!

I attended WGU for a bachelors and 2 masters degrees. Not only did I love the learning experience there, I loved that I could accelerate my courses, and I love the opportunities that WGU gave me professionally. I definitely feel WGU was “worth it” and then some!

So they have a program called handshake that you can apply for jobs on but I didn’t have luck with it and just applied for jobs on employer websites. It took me about a month or 2 after graduating to find a job.

Do you need to transfer your high school transcript? Mine is hard to get but I do have college credits. It is necessary that hs transcripts ?

I think you can actually just use your college transcript but I may be wrong. You can use the website Parchment to get most high school transcripts though!

There was another Hilton that I saw called Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach, Curio collection, that one looks really nice also the Westin looked nice as well. The area in general just wasn’t my cup of tea but Miami is a lot nicer in my opinion.
