Beautiful video, in my opinion, the best edit of Np Promises to Keep. And many lovely ideas about what a happy ending for Cloud and Aerith could look like. I’ll try to contribute a bit as well. There are some recurring constants here, which others have mentioned: - A field of yellow flowers with a lone tree - The old church in Midgar - Loveless Street in Midgar - It could tie into the Loveless play - It could tie into Queen’s blood - Cloud sits next to Aerith at her invitation - Aerith says, “I finally found you, the real Cloud!” - Aerith asks, “Is Aerith your girlfriend?” And Cloud replies, “Of course!” ... As for me, I’d like to tie into one thing-why Aerith might be strongly attracted to Cloud. We know that the entire planet is infected with Jenova. Aerith is a Cetra, which means she has a deep connection with the planet and is trying to protect it. And notice, Cloud is capable of killing the strongest SOLDIER, Sephiroth, without being modified by Jenova. In other words, Cloud is essentially a cure against Jenova, and Aerith intuitively senses that about him. The entire game could actually revolve around Aerith constantly searching for the true Cloud across the multiverse. She appears somewhere, always looking for the real Cloud, and if she doesn’t find him, she is killed by Sephiroth. Once she does find him, that world can finally be healed. When that happens, the only remaining problem is that Aerith is the last Cetra. If she were to truly die, the planet would destroy humanity, because without the Cetra, there’s no one to serve as a mediator between the planet and humanity, as we saw at the end of the original game. So, to prevent that, there needs to be more Cetra, which leads to a marriage proposal between Cloud and Aerith. :) But even in the best ending, I wouldn’t let Aerith fly on the Highwind. That image of Aerith with the Highwind is artistically very powerful and symbolizes that some things simply can’t be achieved.

Oh Cloud😢 I pray you get happiness with Aerith in the end. I cant keep seeing you sad and alone anymore. This was beautiful ❤️
