Pilla are also meant for your melee character. Where theyre almost good melee stats make for a formidable choice if your wanting some range with it because having multiple weapons on a paen is really bad.

I always have at least a couple pila users in my tribal runs because having a pila amonsgst the firing line during provides damage spikes which can be important.

@MistrGames1 well let's think practically. If you have a pawn with high melee but low range and wanna level up range skill while still protecting your colony with a versatile weapon that your pawn can actually use. You can use the pila.

I had a legitimately amazing colonist, until she was caught in an explosion. She survived, but was pretty much crippled, with her brain at around 50%, and was usually in pain, so I kinda just set her as a janitor hoping for a mech serum There never was one, and then we escaped the planet anyways.

I have a blind creepjoiner with unnatural healing ability, (she can heal others, somehow with annomalus abilities ones in 5 days) She has frail, has no eyes ,bad back, and crumbled mind, plus she is a hussar. And needs to ocassionaly drink go juice (she needs it all the time just to walk) Quite Ironic that someone who can heal others with unnatural abilities is so fucked up themselves 😅 I keep her in case if someone looses an eye or toe or gets a scar on the brain, helps a lot that i can fix that instantly, with no expensive implants and bio sculptors. Named her Irony, for obvious reasons :)

I have a colonist named GERG he has pretty average stats but the crazy part is that he survived getting shot in the head TWICE, then got his arm cut off by a mega spider. And lost his right eye from a arrow, and surviving a frag grenade, and eventually when he was barely clining on to life i put him inside a war casket. To put things more simply He refuses to die

I was just opened naked run like every digital satans but the random character was turkish cornstar and its was have pet COW !? i was grown rice and maded a wooden hut but she god infection on left arm and while the pet cow was sleeping she was gave her last breath if i was get alive with that cornstar i ironically able to make turkish dish named "Sütlaç" maded by milk and rice i was feel offended when i started a character in same ethnic name but in **freaky** job its was painfull run because not able to socialize (me) and mining and sucks on construct and botany in this run what i learned was : Optifine users on minecraft deserves unalived

I'm at a full week right now and am down to my last colonist, Frank thankfully he's a mechanitor but the last infestation broke my south wall and swarmed my interior turrets that i placed 150 days ago before my outter wall was built. Killed 4 colonists and 5 mechs

@MistrGames1 you made the vid you should have seen how inaccurate the mini gun is, not even firing in the direction it was aimed hath the time and barely a few tiles away Do you enjoy missing a point blank with a shot gun? neither do i but that is more common then it actually should in an realistic scenario of being only a chair's distance away from your target, flyers do exist but they don't just all go out at an 80 degree angle from your aim with all 3 of your shot's going either side of the target and with melee your literally gambling your pawns on not being instantly killed because that is a actual thing and is way worse in melee than in ranged combat because they actually hit their targets instead of what is said above with the armor mechanics being what flavor of syrup you want this morning kind of irrelevant because it is entirely rng based like the rest of vanilla combat while your pawns eyes will with out failure be shot out because their isn't any kind of eye protection in vanilla rim world that actually works on industrial era weaponry let alone mechanoid equment. dlc doesn't count as that is literally downloadable content that is extra to the game

I think the chain shotgun is the best for early game. Its pretty common and cheap. Give 2 of your pawns a chain shotgun and a corridor and theyll be unstoppable.

I give my colonists Beer, Smokeleaf joints and psychite tea, but not any of the other drugs, since you cant really safely consume these without instantly getting addicted. I make sure to micromanage the „Social drugs“ tab so everything runs automatically, and I only have to set it up once and then I’m good for the rest of my playtrough. Now, by only allowing my colonists to consume these 3 drugs, depending on which one, to only be used at a specific mood, it will boost their mood and prevent mental breaks. What I also do, is setting the drugs to only be consumed a specific maximal time a day, for example only max. 1 smokeleaf joint a day (if mood is accordingly low). I‘ve learnt this from Francis John‘s „Drug Guide“, really recommend checking that out, helped me alot ❤
