Anyone bored of sad acts asking if " anyone here in 2024" on every video for cheap talentless "likes"?

The Carpenters had an unfair image as ‘goodie two-shoes’ in a time when the music industry was moving towards a more rough and edgy sound. Yet the managed to forge a brilliant career! With those arrangements and that voice. Perfection❤

I was in my late twenties when the Carpenter’s hit the music scene. Karen’s voice was the most beautiful I had ever heard and still is 50+ years later. I have all their albums. Their music is timeless. Karen’s voice is the greatest of all time. IMO Rest in peace Karen. You left us way too soon🙏 11/26/24

Saw someone draw a comparison between Arianna Grande and Karen Carpenter in terms of her weight loss. Hope it's not true, as Arianna has some wicked vocal talent...just like Karen did.

Purely the best female singer of my lifetime, Karen Carpenter, who left us far, FAR too soon. I was 11 when this song came out. Great song, great memories. 65 now. GOD, where did the time go?

Carpenters - Close to You Lyrics: Why do birds suddenly appear Every time you are near? Just like me, they long to be Close to you Why do stars fall down from the sky Every time you walk by? Just like me, they long to be Close to you On the day that you were born the angels got together And decided to create a dream come true So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair Of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue That is why all the girls in town (Girls in town) Follow you (Follow you) All around (All around) Just like me, they long to be Close to you On the day that you were born the angels got together And decided to create a dream come true So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair Of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue That is why all the girls in town (Girls in town) Follow you (Follow you) All around (All around) Just like me, they long to be Close to you Just like me, they long to be Close to you (Why? Close to you) (Why? Close to you) (Haa, close to you) (Why? Close to you)

I love your reaction videos....especially those of some of the greats from the 70's. Karen always thought of herself as a drummer who sang. Unfortunately, i don't believe that she ever really saw herself in the same way that her fans saw her. She and Richard were both immensely talented and musically inclined. I was saddened as a teen when she died. But she left us with such a treasure trove of songs delivered with that pure 24-carat golden voice. And her harmonizing with her own layered background vocals are as smooth as butter. There will never be another like her in my generation. She made you feel the way the songwriter intended for you to feel through her words and voice. RIP Karen.

One of my 'll time favourite songs! I think I was 8 or 9 when it came out (now 62) but find myself humming to myself when I remember the 70's.😊

Her life was too sad. The only part she had any control over was her food intake. She was not valued by those closest.

Not liking her body image was her downfall. My niece went through the same disease, but lived. I pray that us women (some men) will totally one day turn this around ans realize how truly beautiful you really are...INSIDE. ♥️

I believe that Karen is now singing with the angels, and I hope to meet her in spirit sometime in the not to distant future. I'm 73 and I loved her sweet voice listening to her songs in my 20s. I also believe that she is receiving the unconditional love from the Lord that she craved while she was here on Earth!

Beautiful song❤❤❤❤ Listening in 2024 from Trinidad and Tobago. Beautiful childhood memories from the 80's with my parents and siblings. Now the music is different in my country influenced by Jamaican ganster music. No lovely Bob Marley music anymore 😮Sad But we have choices. American music. All genres or our Carnival music. Thank God
