As for if monster trucks are a sport I'd say it's like wrestling in that it can be a sport or just a fun show.

is this the last show that evolution ran at?
@SamsonMTfan4 күн бұрын
@mr.blakester 🤔not sure. If I remember right, they retired the identity shortly after this event. Phantom motorsports stayed lowkey so I don’t know much about them.

@@SamsonMTfan it almost looks like phantom went under in 2014, because nite stalker retired that year too

@mr.blakester they stuck around for at least another year or two. They had a truck called American Outlaw that debuted sometime after this event took place. It was sold a few years ago and became the diesel American Outlaw truck that’s still running. For more info on phantom motorsports you may wanna check out the throttle out show episode where they had the owner/driver of that truck on. I remember him talking about the demise of phantom motorpsorts and he may have said when the evolution identity was retired. Lemme know what you learn😎

I understand the cost/safety argument but I wish it was possible to have all the cool stunts we see today along with the crushed obstacles as well.

I think jumps are the way to go, I feel monster trucks are becoming an action sport with trick progression just like skate, bmx, snow etc.

Hey, thanks for including my comment. In your video man. I’ve been watching monster jam for years and like it’s one of these moments when you just need to take a moment and watch the way monster jam is now compared to what it was over 10-20 years ago. I have noticed that in the late 2000s whenever I watched it on TV I noticed they started testing out mufflers on the trucks. Whenever they pointed it out during the commentary they marketed the new setups saying that it’ll create more back pressure and more power so idk about that last part being true. “Environmentally friendly” was the way I looked at it. When I was at digger’s dungeon, I seen the dragon monster truck sitting there on display and I looked at the header up close and up in the header collector I saw a mesh screen in the header. I missed the zoomies that they always ran they sounded great but using the headers indoors is definitely understandable, but I would say running them headers in an open stadium is really underwhelming. I wish it would’ve still been allowed to run zoomies but they run those headers everywhere now. And one last thing, I just really don’t watch the new monster jam anymore. It’s not the same without all the crushed cars the campers and motorhomes that they’ve always plowed through. Seeing just the dirt ramps there now and they just use them to get big air and now they do 2 wheel skills. All I see it now is just being a circus show. in my opinion. It’s sad.
