My theory on how the rad slime will be introduced is throughout the story we learn about how the plants and vegetation of the island has been genetically modified perhaps maybe in the future maybe the genetics of the vegetation could become unstable due to the previous modification growing out of control which could lead to radioactive plants and rad slimes
