He will give you a shoutout in his new video that will post in about 2 weeks. Every little bit helps. Take care buddy. Is there a specific side you have to put up or down when you place it in that device? Which is pretty awesome by the way.
@MerchantMetals7 күн бұрын
That's a great question. There is 4 welds on these Transformers 2 on top and 2 on bottom. the difference between each set of welds is the spacing. one side has welds spaced close together. the opposite side has 2 welds spaced far apart that's the side i like to face up. My machine runs smoother that way. I only know of one other person in the US that processes these commercially his machine prefers them the other way. in conclusion i think there is no right or wrong way to face them. it really depends how your equipment runs and acts under 25+ tons of pressure. if there is anyone else that does this i would love to meet them and pick there brain for info.

Do you ever find aluminum wire in your piles that go into the shredder? Its probably ok if a tiny bit of aluminum goes into the #1 or #2 copper buckets. I just got to thinking, sometimes wire is aluminum, its not always copper.
@MerchantMetals8 күн бұрын
that's a very good question. yes there is. i just try my best to sort that stuff out. surprisingly enough when i do find aluminum chunks from the granulator it usually makes its way all the way down the water sluice and into the insulation tailings bucket. my guess is that aluminum granules are much lighter than the copper so the water current sends the aluminum farther away with the insulation. And I'm cool with that! lol

I love your idea and dreams. It will work. Your weak point will be your cranes ability to pull without ripping itself from its base. My suggestion would be to modify your crane with a double pulley on the top and at the hook to increase the torque you're going to need without putting all that pulling pressure directly on the motor. It wouldn't hurt to strap back to something solid to support your cranes boom when pulling the copper. How are you splitting these motor stators or are you just going to ginder one side? As a skilled tradesmen. I know out of all the tools in our arsenal. If their is a tool that's going to get you. 9 out of 10 times it's that dam grinder. Putting your foot on that sheet of aluminum and standing directly over your work exposes you to a catastrophic injury if that cutting wheel cuts lose. I couldn't imagine explaining that to the nurse and doctor as to how I got a grinder blade puncture to my nut sack. As much as I hate the ginder blade guard too. It has it's purpose and I would highly recommend you find it and put it back on. Safety 1st brother. You must make it home injury free every night. I couldn't imagine what a nut sack bandaid would cost nowadays from a hospital.
